Much to everyone’s surprise a new plot, the Return of Dr. Sloth, was announced in the Neopets news on Kacheek Day - January 29th. Who would have known that Neopets would revive a plot they had scheduled to do in 2004.
Another peaceful day at the space station and no one seems to realize that something evil is coming…
In issue 325 of the Neopian Times, Neopets mentioned that a new plot was coming but did you guess it would be here so soon?
Hey TNT, what are you guys planning to add/change about Neopets this year? Or are you planning to add/change anything at all?^^ ~hardcore_gamer_chix
Oh wouldn’t you like to know? ;) We can tell you that there are a couple of very exciting things scheduled for the end of this month, and possibly in March! Although, now that we’ve mentioned them, it’s inevitable that they’ll be delayed. Thanks a lot.

Visit Kreludor, where you’ll find the space ship at the bottom of the click, click on it.
Here you will meet Yurbot at the Token Testing Facility. This facility has been used to create 652,491,337 identical duplicates of the Space Faerie’s Space Faerie Token. Your job is to examining these duplicates in order to identify whatever powers they may have.
There are three testing three parts to the testing procedure:
Or you can participate in the testing procedure (number 4 on picture below), just pick a number between 1 and 652,491,337 and you’ll be teleported you to the correct testing station.

![]() | Cylara We have to be careful moving through this cargo bay. If those Garoo Elites see us, we’re doomed!
| Gorix If we can sneak up right next to them, I bet we can knock them unconscious before they see us! | ![]() | |
This section of the plot is much, much, much, much easier than step 2.
Return to the Maintenance Tunnels and click on the door to your right, the Shuttle Bay.
You have to make your way around the room to the exit and avoid the guards or you’ll have to start again. You step on the large teal step to your left or right, or above or below - you can’t walk diagonally.

| Cylara | Guard | Neopet | You can step | You can’t step |
To knock a guard out they must be facing in a different direction to where you are. You must be a single step away from the guard as well. When it is your turn click on their square to walk on top of them. This will get rid of the guard.
Guards can get you if you’re in their line of sight - so if a guard is on the same column or row as you and is facing your direction on their move it will be game over and you’ll have to start again.
Guards can’t see through Neopets, so try to stay hidden behind them.

![]() | Gorix There they are! We found your parents, and the scout!
| Cylara Now we’ve got to get away. Mom! Dad! Over here! | ![]() | |
IMPORTANT: Please note that using any kind of external helper program or cheat program to solve this puzzle is against the rules and will likely get you FROZEN! So do the right thing and solve the puzzle yourself! (Discussions with friends and the use of reference charts is perfectly okay.)
Special thanks to neocutie340 and Pasqui for their help.
Visit the Resistance Headquarters. You need to help Gorix and Cylara enter the computer system. Click on the Virupets Space Station Computer System screen and then click on the number 4 at the top of your keyboard (not the keypad at the right of your keyboard). Now click on the number 2 at the top of your keyboard (again, not on the keypad).

Now you have to decode the messages.

To do that, click on a message that only has CXV in the puzzle as these are the easiest puzzles with 1 modifier.
There are 4 levels of difficulty - the first level has only 1-modifier, then there’s 2-modifiers and finally there’s 3-modifiers. try and do the 1-modifiers first until you get the hang of how to work the puzzle. There are also 3-modifier puzzles that say *** INCOMPLETE DATA *** - do not attempt these until you have solved your other 3-modifier puzzles.
Where you’ll get the following screen:
Drag and drop your answer (on the right, 1 through to 10) into the modifier box.
Thank you to Pasqui for writing up this guide and supplying the screen captures:
Before using the tables, know this:
1. The codes are just sums, per column: Key + Modifier = Result, with 2 modifiers it’s Key + Modifier 1 + Modifier 2 = Result, and with 3 modifiers it’s Key + Modifier 1 + Modifier 2 + Modifier 3 = Result. So to find the Modifiers, we’ll have to subtract the Key from the Target: Target - Key = Modifiers.
2. What do I mean with "per column"? Unlike regular sums, you don’t carry the 1 here if you get such a solution. (This actually simplifies the problem, so be happy about that.) When you want to find the first digit of the Modifier, you simply take the first digit of the Target, and subtract the first digit of the Key. Same for the second, third, etc… digits.
3. The sums are calculated in Modulo Operation. Because that’s a bit difficult to explain, I’ll give an equal option that is easier to use here: Each symbol has multiple values. In the tables I’ll show you the values.
How to use the tables:
1. I divided the 20 puzzles in 4 parts, depending on how many modifiers and symbols the puzzle has. For each part there are 5 puzzles, part 1 having the easy ones and part 5 having the really tough ones.
2. There are three different tables per part. The first table shows you the values the symbols can have. The second and third table then show the possible combinations for the Modifiers depending on which Key and Target symbols you have. This is per digit, remember!
3. In Part 1 there’s only 1 possible solution per Key/Target you have, so I could combine the two tables into one for easier use.
4. In the other 3 parts, those two tables are divided like this: in the first table you will get a number depending on the Key digit and Target digit you have. This is the group number, now in the last table you will see which possible combinations are in each group, and those are the possible solutions for your modifiers.
5. Check the possible solutions for only the first two digits, and then check your modifiers to see which of yours can be combined so the first 2 digits of your Target are correct. You will notice not that many are possible, so just try them all and one will be the correct one. You can check the possible solution for all the digits, but this is only wasting time.

The correct message you’re looking for is:
![]() | Gorix We’ve got it! They’re putting all the civilians onto transport shuttles.
| Cylara That must be where my family is! We’ve got to go rescue them! | ![]() | |
![]() | Resistance Leader The Cybunny scout is there, too. She’s the priority. Now get going, before it’s too late!
1. Visit the Space Station where you’ll see the maintenance door at the bottom of the page.

2. Click on the blue door on the left which will take you to the series of tubes.

3. Here you’ll find Gorix and a series of mazes which you will have to navigate.
Clicking on the disc will rotate it in a clock-wise direction. Click on the disc until the arrow faces in the direction you want to take Gorix. For the first maze you want to have the arrow facing in the down direction.
To be able to complete the maze all maze doors have to be closed before the exit door will open. The maze doors will close when Gorix walk through them or if one of the robots walk through them.
Once you walk over a disc, it will rotate clock-wise once. If a robot walks over a disc, it will also rotate once clock-wise.
