My cousins woke me up at 7 AM *groans* I finally got out of bed at 8.10 and we managed to get to Suntec City at 9.07. I intended to take some pictures of Suntec City while we were on the expressway. To my horror, I left my camera battery at home. I felt so upset that I couldn’t take any pics for nBn. :( Fortunately, Dad came to the rescue. He brought me the battery at about 11.30 (Note: We had to queue for 2 hours just to get into myEPB. Oh, we got free stickers cos we were the first 1000).

Everyone had a couple of plushies in their shopping baskets. Some threw in a few notebooks, charm bracelets, necklaces, earrings, keychains and Neoscapes. I thought that the stuff must have been pretty cheap if people were buying that many. Surprisingly, the plushies cost $17.95, stickers and tattoos cost $2.95, keychains were $8.95 and charms $3.95.

We bought a Scorchio plushie, 3 charms, stickers, tattoos and a notebook. We spent about 1.5 hours in the shop, taking pictures, talking to Neopets staff and watching Anthony and Keith draw.

Anthony and Keith at work  Camera crew interviewing shoppers

Initially, we wanted to get some drawings done (since it’s pretty much once in a lifetime) but if we queued, we would probably get to the front in more than 3 hours. Ack >.< I bet the artists hands must be sore from that much drawing. Poor guys! So I plopped myself to the front of the queue and talked to Lee. He had asked me to get interviewed but I was embarassed (I probably looked like a mess since I was pulled out of bed that early in the morning). The recordings would be brought back to US and shown to the Neopets team.

Lee told us that Neopets stuff would be sold in Singapore in July. Woohoo! I’ll definitely get more stuff the next time.

My rare item code prizeMy Dad drove us home and the first thing my cousins did was to key in their rare item code. Gaby got a Snowager Poster, Jody got a Ice Caves Jacket and I got a Mystery Isle Poster :/ Not too rare huh, Neopets? Angus still has 2 rare item codes which we will let him key in when he opens his stuff.

My friend who went to Suntec to shop on that day told me that at 3 PM, there was still a queue snaking into myEPB. The craze! My final word is that we got better prices than the Americans. and I’m really looking forward to more Neopets stuff hitting our little island in the near future!

Check out my Kauvaras Potion charm!!

Two words. EXTREMELY CROWDED.

It was 9:07 a.m. at Suntec City, Singapore. The store (myEPB Bookstore) opens at 10 a.m., but the queue for… Yep, you got it, "Neopets in Singapore" already stretched over a few shops’ distance.

Finally, after waiting VERY patiently for TWO HOURS, we made it to the bookstore. The bookstore was filled with mills and mills of people who had all grabbed a plushie or two. The Purple Chia plushies were selling like hot cakes!Once restocked, they were gone within 3 seconds! Serious.

As told, Anthony and Keith were there, busy sketching away for a long line of people who had queued all the way back to the end of the store!

Queues snaking around myEPB  My aching hands... :P

Neopets Inc. Chief Operations Officer, Mr. Lee Borth was there too! A really friendly guy who with his wife, flew here to S’pore along with Anthony and Keith.

*Gggrrrooowwwlll* Erm hi! I'm a friendly Lupe!

No less, there was a camera crew, busying themselves interviewing people. Not long afterwards, a Lupe, which miraculously stood and walked very comfortably on his two hind legs, appeared to pose and take pictures plus joke and play with the children there!

Just for your information, brand new Cloud and Disco Aisha Plushies will be released next month and… GOODY, 5000 of each will be reserved for Singaporeans!

"They’re (the Cloud and Disco Aisha plushies) the nicest ones so far…it was only a test selling our products in Singapore, we didn’t expect the response to be so good!" said Mr Lee Borth, Chief Operations Officer of Neopets Inc.

So, have you got your Neopets Stuff? ^_*

My Friend, Peirong and I decided to go to the MYEPB bookshop to buy Neopets stuff as we were crazy about them. We thought that there will not be so many ppl going so we met at Bradell MRT Station at 9:20am. We reached there at about 9:45am. We nearly got lost finding Suntec City. About 9:55am we reached there. We looked for the queue and we walk on and on and saw lots of people and I started to get worried as we hoped to get the free Stickers. Finally we found the end of the queue, we ran towards it quickly, worriying someone will take our place.

After queueing about 1 hour or so, the Neopets staff gave out stickers, I got a Usul one. But I hoped I could get the Faeries type. Some people like a boys who was quite plump and queueing behind me took so many stickers. I thought it was not fair as others will not get any more.

Finally, after queueing for 2 h 30mins (12:30pm), we were finally let into the bookshop. I dashed right in to the plushies section and grabbed a plushie. But to my surprise, it cost $17.95. And my mother only gave me $20 for my coming birthday on 12 June. I saw a charm bracelet it cost around $13.95 or so. My mother told me I could only get useful items so I could not buy stickers and magnets and notebooks. I was left with the choice of a Plushie or a Bracelet. I thought for 10 minutes and I decided to buy a bracelet as it was more useful. And I added an faerie p/b charm.

I saw the Blue Lupe, but I don’t dare to hug, I only shook hands with him. I saw Anthony and Keith who were sketching. I wanted one but the queue was too long. I wish I could offer them a drink as they were so pityful… Imagine drawing for the whole day without resting. I saw a man that is maybe Mr. Shum, looked like him talking to 2 adults. And I later asked him where the Blue Lupe was.

That was an enjoyable trip. I hope Neopets will open many shops in Singapore. Way to go Neopets! Cheers.
