I just got back from the Merchandise Test at Limited Too, and I thought I would share my story.
I went to the Limited Too at the Del Amo Fashion Center (the same mall where Ahhs! held Neopets’ previous merchandise test, and that report is somewhere here on nBn) at around 2:00pm on Sunday. I knew that Limited Too was a girls’ clothing store in
advance (assuming that ‘Too was a branch of the original Limited, a women’s clothing store), so I was ready for anything. My mission, as an 18-year old guy, is to get in and get out in the least amount of time possible.
To my surprise, the kiosk with Neopets merchandise wasn’t as what I expected. Most of the stuff I saw was the same stuff I saw back in November. But, considering that most of the US didn’t have this kind of sale, it was still good. I purchased a notebook with Kauvara on the cover (which is my second NP notebook I bought), and that rare item code gave me a Massive White Aisha Cake. But, since I went on Sunday, I didn’t get an item code card. =P
Once again, there wasn’t a lot of people when I was there, even when I was browsing the Neopets kiosk. And yes, I was the only guy there at the time. Fortunately, no one really noticed. =)
The Good:
- it’s the same mall from the previous test (makes it easy to walk there)
- the item codes
- didn’t have to spend too much this time around =)
The Not-So-Good:
- the prices (they were nearly the same as before)
- the actual store (Limited Too isn’t exactly the place where I would want be in, let alone to buy Neopets merchandise)
- lack of new merchandise (there was nothing new from the first test, and I didn’t see a White Aisha Plushie anywhere)
All in all, it was a good experience, and hopefully the NP team can make it so that guys can get Neopets stuff without being the least bit embarrassed. =)

It was Saturday, March 16, the day I had been waiting for since The Neopets Team first announced that Neopets merchandise would be in Limited Too stores. I was so excited that I got up at 7:00 AM and got on Neopets because I was too happy to go back to sleep. I got my older brother up at 9:00 AM to get ready and we were headed for Limited Too at 9:30; it took us 30 mins to get there. By 10:00 AM we were at the Montgomery Mall in Maryland and quickly found Limited Too! We were one of the first to get there! I looked around, trying to spot the items and saw a ‘Neopets’ sign right in the center of the huge store. I was relived to see a whole bunch of White Aisha plushies. So I grabbed a White Aisha and a Red Scorchio plushie, some stickers, a notebook, magnets, and a Faerie Queen keychain and bought them. I got my Rare Item code and ended up with 5 from what I bought. My brother and I were headed home and surely, this was one of the happiest moments of my life! =o)

On Saturday, March 16, 2002, I woke up at 6:00 in the morning… It felt like Christmas. Neopets Merchandise would be sold in all Limited Too stores in the US that day! I climbed out of bed and got dressed, then played Neopets, trying to make the time pass quicker. At 9:00 a.m. my mom drove me to The Mall of America, so that we could make it there before the opening time. (10:00 a.m.) We cashed a check on the way, some babysitting money I had earned and would serve well when it came to buying the Neopets stuff! Finally we left the bank and got to the Mall. It was overcrowded in the mall (as usual.) It seemed as though everything was taking hours (although the car ride was only 5 minutes, and the walk to Limited Too was only 10 minutes…) While we were moving through the parking lot, I entertained myself by searching for a license plate from each state. I didn’t really pay attention to that little game though… My thoughts were on Neopets! When we finally got to Limited Too, I stood behind a line of a bunch of other fellow Neopets Fans. I chatted with them while we waited for the doors to be opened. Finally 10:00 came and I rushed towards the Neopets rack I had spotted while peering through the windows earlier. I grabbed one of the 2 white Aisha plushies quickly, then took my time… I soon noticed - to my horror - that they didn’t have any Neoscapes!!! Those were one of the things I wanted most. I searched for my other top-wanted things: the adorable Kauvara notebook, and a charm bracelet with Fyora the Faerie Queen, a SuperNova, and the Neopets star symbol thingy on it. I looked through the choice of stickers, but decided I’d better come back another day to make my choice in stickers (there were too many to choose from!) Another thing that I noticed was missing was the tattoos. I shrugged though, they weren’t my first priority. The add-a-charms were all cute, but I decided against spending my money on them. Instead I swiftly moved to the check-out counter, plopping my 3 items down infront of the cash register. I paid for the items (it cost $30.35 in all) and asked the question: Do I get a rare item code? I got one. My mom drove me home, and when we finally got there I quickly called all my friends, sharing my news! I then went on to Neopets with my rare item codes (I got one in the notebook too.) From the notebook I got a Cybunny Piggy Bank. From the Rare Item Code card I got a Massive Aisha Cake. I sold the cake and kept the adorable Cybunny piggy bank. Then I took photos of my merchandise, and wrote up this article.

It was Saturday morning and my mom couldn’t take me and my sis to Limited too since she was sick, but since the mall was only 3-5 minutes away if you drive we begged her to let us walk there, and she agreed. We walked on and crossed the main street. Then we walked longer until we reached the mall. Then we went to the 2nd floor then managed to go to Limited too. When we got there we went to the back where there was a rack of Neopets stuff. Plushies were at the top and the bottom,and in the middle there was other merchandise. I took a white Aisha plushie which I only saw 2 of. There wasn’t even more behind the register like the rest of the pets. I also grabbed a series 1 stickers. My sis brought a Cybunny plush,and some Aisha stickers too. We went to the register which was close to us, and I paid for most of it, but my sis paid for her plushie, and I even had to pay tax. After leaving that store we went to the first floor and walked home. When we got back I decided to use my white Aisha plush for good luck ,and my feet were pretty sore, but the trip was really well worth it in the end.

I went to the mall with my mom. We got to Limited Too at about 6:00pm. First I was forced to try on bathing suits, but then I got to pick out some Neopet stuff. I bought a White Aisha plushie (they still had 3 out!), a Kacheek necklace & a set of Kacheek stickers. I thought it would cost me $25 but Mom had this card for $20 off anything over $20, so it was only $5. Yeah! :-) I got the stickers for the rare item code & darn me, I forgot to ask if I was one of the first 50. I doubt I was, but I was the only one in the store buying Neopet stuff so maybe. I wonder if Mom will let me go back today? My store didn’t have any charms to add to the necklaces & I was disappointed. I really wanted some! Another Kacheek, a Poogle & a Peophin. A Cybunny, a Aisha & a Uni if they had them. Even a Kougra. But they didn’t. So that’s my story.

I have a story for you about Limited Too. Well, it was Saturday morning when I begged my mom to go to a mall in Pennsylvania, where I live. It was a good 3 1/2 hours away if you sped, but it took us at LEAST 4 hours to get there. Once we got to the mall, my friend and I headed directly for the Limited Too. When we saw the two foot high Neopets sign in the window, we were soooo stoked! We practically ran in, but when we got there the rack with the Neopets sign on it was empty. Why? The truck carrying the Neopets merchandise was LOST. NONE of the merchandise had gotten there yet.
The manager told my mom that we could come back and they would be sure have stuff… but keep in mind, we were 3/4 of the across our state from where we lived.
They gave my friend and I a rare item code, which turned out to be a White Aisha Compact Mirror. So, THE LOGAN VALLEY MALL, PA WAS THE ONLY MALL WITHOUT NEOMERCHANDISE. There you have it. My sad, sad story.

Well I had been planning this day for what seems since I heard it came out in California. So I have not paid attention to school. I finally head out to the mall and get to Limited Too. My jaw drops, it is a girls store! I ventured in but knew I needed too. I got the rare item code. It turned out to be an massive white Aisha cake. I looked at the rack and counted the items. The total 15 items. The white Aisha Plushie was gone. I didn’t get anything. I am waiting for it to go to real stores I can go to. But I ventured in without worry and am happy I did. :)

I’ve been planning for this day for what seems like forever! I actually had the choice between two malls, the Staten Island Mall and the Kings Plaza Mall in New York City, but I went to Kings Plaza because it was closer to my house. I’m sixteen, so I dragged my little sister along. By the time we got there (about fifteen minutes before the store was to open), there was a small crowd, about fifteen people, and I was the oldest customer by at least five years, which was somewhat embarrassing. As soon as the store opened, I grabbed the white Aisha Plushie I’ve been dying for and was second to the counter. The cashier was somewhat annoyed, and asked me twice what I was talking about until I pointed to the pile of postcards behind her with the code on them. No matter, I got my Aisha Plushie and ended up with a white Aisha wobbly pen =)

I got there an hour after it opened. There were only a few people in there and it looked like me and my sister wee some of the first few people to get Neopets merchandise. I took pictures but I haven’t had them developed yet. Outside of the store there was a medium sign with a black background and rainbow colored pets on it which said ‘Neopets Merchandise available exclusively at Limited Too!‘ There was a small display of Neopets stuff with a sign hanging over it. I ran over there and immediately saw Aisha Plushies (both blue and white), Chia Plushies, Scorchio Plushies, and Cybunny Plushies sitting on a shelf about 5 feet high. Under that was the jewelry. There were Scorchio, Usul, Kougra, Kacheek, Aisha, and Faerie Queen Necklaces. Next to them there were Nova, Faerie Queen, Aishas, and Kougra earrings. Under all that there were charms to add on to the necklace or charm bracelets (which were next to the charms). And under that were Faerie tattoos and keychains! On the side of the shelf there were the stickers and under them there were notebooks and under them there were ‘Neomagnets’ (you know the magnets with the words on them that you use to make poems) in two versions: Faerieland and Dr. Sloth! Right under them were things you put around your computer screen. I didn’t pay too much attention to them, though. I grabbed 3 packs of stickers, 2 notebooks, a pack of Faerieland neomagnets, and an Aisha keychain and got in line behind a girl who was holding 3 notebooks. Her brother (I guess. He was younger then her) ran up to her and her 3 friends followed him. He was all ‘There are White Aisha Plushies! They’re really rare!’ And she was all ‘I know’. He said "Aren’t you going to get one?" And she said she’d rather have the notebooks. I got up to the counter and asked for the rare item code and the lady was very polite. She looked about 16 or 17. I might have had an actual conversation with her, but there were people behind me.

I don’t have any pictures :\ But here’s a little story that happened:
Well I’m 11, and duh I can’t drive. My Mom was actually curious of the stuff they’d be selling, so decided to take me. (She knows how much I love Neopets :D) When we got there it was about 12:30 AM (Eastern Time.. or am I in Central Time?) Anyway, it wasn’t packed at all. There was a few Plushies (they were surprisingly small..), some necklaces, charms, stickers, tattoos, and notebooks. I grabbed a $5.50 notebook, 2 packs of $3.50 stickers, and went up to the counter. I asked if I was the one of the first 50 people, and I was! I was with my sister, who also goes on Neopets occasionally, so I got two codes. (Sis gave me hers, but I have to pay her 25k) Inside the pack of stickers and notebooks there was a code. I went home and typed them in. I got a Cybunny piggy bank and a Cybunny bouncy ball, a Scorchio bank, and 2 massive white Aisha cakes. That equaled to about 154k. I was sort of discouraged, thinking I would get higher priced items, (since I promised my friend I’d give her a code if she made me a banner..) but I was pretty happy :)

Ok… well after successfully venturing into that all too perky, all too brightly colored store, I came out with the codes I need. I actually just walked up to the counter and got about 5 from the cashier. Then I bought a pack of stickers with a code in them. So all in all, what I’ve figured out is this… Depending on which Neopet is on your card, that’s the type of item you’ll get, (i.e. all of my cards had White Aishas on the front and I’ve gotten a White Aisha Collar, White Aisha Mirror, Massive White Aisha Cake…etc). So enjoy your time at the Limited Too, just remember, you don’t necessarily have to buy something to get the codes!!

I don’t have any pictures but, I do have a little story! ^^ I had finally reached the Limited Too store in Novi Mall in Michigan. In the center of the store is an island with a Neopets sign standing on it and all the Neopets Plushies, neatly stacked by each other.
Above the Plushies were stickers, big ones and small ones of Aishas’, Kougras and more! Also there was necklaces, charm bracelets, keychains and note books! I knew I couldn’t get all the stuff so, I decided to get what I wanted most, some Neopet Plushies!
Sadly there wasn’t any White Aishas left but, that was OK! I bought two Plushies, a Blue Cybunny and a Blue Aisha, but very adorable! I looked around some more, bought some clothes, got a discount and then I was off to other shops and then home!
I love my little Plushies! ^^

I rushed to the nearest mall Friday evening after work to purchase Neopets items. After I had heard in the nBn guild message boards that some stores where selling items before Saturday, I went nuts. I ran through the mall like a little girl (I’m 21) trying to get to the Limited Too. As soon as I stepped into the store I asked the first sales associate where the Neopets items were. She said, "You’ve got to be the millionth person to ask me that." She showed me where they had put up their display and left me to my choices. I was overjoyed at the site of my favorite past time game actually having items in a store I pass every time I go to the mall. I chose the blue Aisha plushie, and a keychain with a blue Aisha and I got an add on of the Faerie paintbrush. Now I carry my plushie around with me wherever I go, and my keychain is attached to my purse. Since I have my Aisha with me places people say, "Oh how cute, where can I get one?" And I tell them it’s from Neopets, the best online game ever, and that they’re selling items only at the Limited Too.

Well, I got my Neopets stuff today (I’m in Texas)! :) No pictures, sorry, but I can describe the store a bit. There was a sign in the window, about 2 feet tall that said Neopets and had pictures of some of the pets you can adopt on the site. Inside, they had the front of one of their shelving racks filled with the merchandise and another sign with pictures of the pets. I bought 2 Aishas, one white and one blue, and talked with the manager a bit. She said I was the first to come in and get stuff, and that they had just put it out about 2 hours previously (this was at 5pm Central time). They didn’t have the rare item codes yet, but she took my name and phone number and said she’d call when they came in and that I would be guaranteed to get one. We talked a bit more about the Neopets site. She said she has two kids, but had never heard of it. She went and adopted an Usul last night, said said, and she was just raving about how cute everything is. They are expecting to get more stuff in tomorrow’s mail, so I know I’ll be back at the mall after work tomorrow. I was so excited on the way home that the merchandise had actually been out that I almost ran a red light! Oops! :*)
So that’s my story! :)
