Once you have decided on where you would like to live, you then have to apply to the Neopian Planning Committee. Your application may take up to two days to process but usually it is much less.
You can check up on your application status by clicking on Building Status. This will tell you the type of construction currently being done and how long it will take. In this case, your Construction Type is “Applying for Land” while Hours Left is how many hours it will take to complete. Sometimes it takes a little bit more than the 2 hours, for example, it says.
If you are approved you will receive a NeoMail from The Neopets Team saying “Your application to build a NeoHome has been accepted. You now have your own plot of land that you can start building on!” Congratulations!
It’s worth mentioning that you should probably grab some paper and a pencil and start sketching out some designs of how you would like your house to look, don’t forget to include the doors! Start with a five by five grid and pencil in little boxes of where you would like your rooms to go. This will save you both time and a bunch of NeoPoints in the future because you will be less likely to make a mistake, like putting a door in the wrong place or forgetting to put one in at all.
