I go by Jesse, mostly because it’s my real name. I’m not particularly a fan of it - I’d go by my middle name, but I like “Ross” even less. I’m 23 now, and have been on NBN for…some time. Probably in excess of 3 weeks. I’m horrible at remembering dates; time is my one true enemy.
I’m from Orleans, Indiana - home of the…well…nothing. I’m 23, and currently residing in Hanover, Indiana and going to college in Madison, Indiana. This year will mark my 5th year as a college student and, as yet, I have no degree. I keep changing my mind on degrees, so I have wads of credits, but no diplomas. I’ve recently discovered that I’ll have an associate’s degree in Fine Arts at the end of this term without my intentionally planning for it. While I’m a full-time student, I also do a lot of regional theatre work. I’ve acted in several shows, directed a few, and edited a few scripts that a playwright friend of mine has had professionally performed. I’d like to be a stage actor for a profession, though a lot of success in that career would be based strictly on luck.
I still love LEGOs, and I have a room of my current apartment totally devoted to them. I’m also a total geek when it comes to Batman, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, or Power Rangers. As for more adult geekdom, I’m one of the few rabid fans of both Star Trek and Star Wars. I’m also a huge Nintendo fan, and very loyal to the brand - love my Wii! (As you can guess, I’m quite single at the moment.) I have an 11-year old dog named Cagney at home who’s a great buddy, and I always miss her here at my apartment. I drive a midnight blue 2007 Solstice and a light blue 1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass.
In 1998, I had a heart transplant. I was never sick a day in my life before that year-long episode; a fluke virus just settled into my heart and destroyed it. I have to take lots and lots of medications for the rest of my life, but I suppose it’s better than the alternative! I do a lot of charity work for organ donation groups now. (Remember folks, donate your organs! We don’t take them ’til you’re done with them anyway!)
As for my personality, well, I suppose you’ll have to judge for yourself. I’ve been called elitist, and that’s definitely right, but I’ve also been called “dangerously passionate”. I tend to be a social chameleon, never quite fitting in any one group absolutely, but getting invited to all cliques’ events. At one party I once hosted, a (inebriated [just say no, kids]) new-age hippy friend told me: “Jesse, you’re like, THE MAN, you know? And we’re supposed to be taking you down and hating what you represent, but, you’re like, on our side. That’s confusing stuff, dude.” I think that was a compliment.
Well, the name is Pasqui, and yes, that’s my real name. But you can also call me Pasq, or Q.
I’m Belgian, 20 years young, by heart a writer and by nature either a Slorg or a cat. I’m certainly as lazy as the two combined, but once I get started on something I usually continue until it’s finished.
On Neopets I’m a bit of everything. I joined with my first account on August 10th 2001, so I’ve been around for quite a while, and acquired so much knowledge about Neopets that I’m even known as a Walking Neopedia. Ask me anything about Neopets, and if I don’t know the answer directly I’ll most likely know where to find it.
I’m mainly a collector on Neopets: trophies, avatars, wearables, collectable cards, stamps, and several galleries. If I like something and I can collect it, I will. But I’m also a gamer, a battler (although only 1-player) and a restocker, and I’m always ready to participate fully at the plots.
If I’m not spending my free time on Neopets I’m usually either reading, writing, playing a game of Scrabble, playing on one of my many Nintendo consoles, or watching television. I no longer go to school anymore, and am an employee in a distribution company of books. But my dream is to write books and get them published someday. As I live in Belgium though, my first language is Dutch, and I usually only use English when I’m on the internet. So although I’m not bad at writing in English, I’m far from as good as I am in Dutch and this might show in some of the guides I write.
I’m always ready to help, so if there’s something you want to know, go ahead and send me an email, a Neomail or a private message on the forum, and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
My name’s Kyle, though I am also known as cueru (my Neopets username and previous nBn name). I’m currently nineteen years old and I’m originally from Saskatchewan, Canada (yes, the majestic prairies, "Land of the Living Skies" as it says on our licence plates). This past year, I’ve moved out to the nation’s capital in Ottawa, Ontario, where I am a first year in university pursuing a Baccalaureate of Social Sciences in Honours International Studies and Modern Languages with Specialisation in Spanish and a Minor in Arabic Language and Culture in French Immersion (nice short degree title, huh?).
I first joined Neopets on August 30, 2000 - so far, meaning that I’ve been playing for almost eight years - and I joined nBn on February 4, 2002 - over six years ago. My favourite part of Neopets has been to get pets I like (often rare) and paint them just the right colour. Now, seeing as how I’ve got some great pets already, I’m starting to get into customisation (nBn’s customisation guide will undoubtedly be of great help for me!). I’ve also gotten into the Battledome a bit during plots and like activities like the Lab Ray, certain games (such as [the old] Evil Fuzzles from beyond the Stars and Roodoku), and the Stock Market.
Other interests I have include music (opera, jazz, Francophone, and rock are some of my favourite genres; I also play piano, clarinet, alto sax, guitar, bass, tuba, and trombone and sing low bass), languages (I speak English and French very fluently, can understand and speak a lot of Spanish and a bit of Italian, and am also learning Welsh and Arabic, among others), politics, travel, reading, and cinema. In my spare time, I waste time on Facebook, play around with musical composition, and embark on epic adventures with some friends. Of course, you’ll also find me on nBn at sporadic times during the day!
