Do you guys know the Neopets staff? Like as in in person?
No, we don’t.

 

How did you interview the Neopets staff? Did you just email them your questions?
Yes and we sincerely thank Adam, Donna, Felicia, Mr. Pickles, J.Boogie, Claire and Tom very much for letting us interview them.

 

How long have you been running this site?
For a long time! Actually you can read all about the History of nBn here.

 

I love your site! How did you get it up and running?
A little history lesson here… nBn started out as Neopets:24/7 initially. Grace happened to be shopping for quest items one day when I chanced upon Spoils, a small Neopets fansite run by Megg. Grace asked Megg to create a Neopets fansite with her. That was way back in around October 2000. It took a bit of persuasion to get Megg to work on this joint project. We brainstormed for catchy site names and finally settled on Nothing But Neopets.

We changed layouts, made lots of help pages and goodies when ever we had time (Megg is a graphic designer and Grace, was a full time student). At the same time, we worked on building nbngallery. Then, by another stroke of good luck, Grace got to know Pieter, a computer programmer and he made the lovely images we use to navigate the site with, as well as other technical stuff (like ASP and JavaScript). Our third co-webmaster, LadyBug, joined us as a Moderator in July 2002 and then was a nBn Helper and through her innumerable contributions to the site she was made a co-webmaster in November 2002.

The rest as they say, is history.

 

Is this part of the Neopets site or is it just a fan site?
We’re just a Neopets fan site. We’re not affiliated with Neopets in any way.

 

Who pays for this website, do you make a profit, where are the advertisements?
The nBn website is paid for out of the pockets of the webmasters of the site and no we do not make any money from nBn. It’s against the Neopets Terms and Conditions to make any profits from web pages that contain Neopets pictures and other materials from the Neopets site. You will never see any advertisements on our site because we decided to buy our own domain and web hosting for the site so we didn’t get the annoying advertisements. Pop-ups… bad!

 

Do you host other Neopets sites (belonging to someone else) at nBn?
Sorry but we do not.

When did you start playing Neopets?
A long time ago! Megg started playing in August 2000, Grace started playing in September 2000 and LadyBug in May 2000.

 

What is your Neopets username, can I please know?
For nBn we have nbngallery and nbnshoppe.

 

Which staff member makes the graphics? Like the buttons, banners, logos… they are really good!
Thank you for the very nice comments. There are a couple talented people behind the nBn images, Henu, who did the wonderful site banner, and Megg who does a lot of the other images.
