Advent Calendar

It’s the month of giving and we’re giving away some great holiday treats for our active Guild members. At a random time each day nBnGallery will but up some goodies at the Trading Post, all you have to do is bid an item (like a Tombola item) on the trade. Good luck and enjoy your goodies! The Advent Calendar will conclude on December 25th. To make it fair, you can only receive an Advent Calendar gift every second day.

Snowball Fight

For the month of December we’re going to have a Snowball FIGHT! The Snowball Fight Usuki Doll will start off from the nBnGallery account and then sent to a random Guild member. When a Guild member gets the Snowball Fight Usuki Doll they have to then throw it to another Guild member and so on. Try to throw the Snowball Fight Usuki Doll at Guild members who are active, check the Guild board to see who has posted lately. We’re not going to be keeping track of where the Snowball Fight Usuki Dolls go, just throw them around the Guild for fun!

Watch out for more flying snowballs! Crystaline has unleashed a whole swag of snowballs on the Guild. If you receive a White Snowball Plushie or a snowball from another Guild member, chances are you’ve been hit in the snowball fight. Make sure you pass on the snowballs.

Winter Wonderland Ball

Your pets are cordially invited to our Winter Wonderland Ball, but they have to look the part right? Head on over to the NC Mall and dress your pet (or pets) up in their Winter Wonderland costume. You do not need to purchase any NC Mall items, just simply try on the clothes from the NC Mall and take a screen capture and send it to us. Alternatively if you already have real Neopian clothes from the Clothes Shop you can send us a link to your pet/s. You can submit as many of your pets as you want, but the pets must be owned by you, please do not submit other people’s pets as your own or you will be automatically disqualified.

If you are using your clothes only, please send a link to your pet, along with your username plus why you chose your outfit. Try to keep your pet dressed in their costume as long as possible, so we can judge them. Or if you want to dress your pet up in clothes from the NC Mall, please email us your pet’s name, your username, a screen capture of your pet in their outfit plus why you chose your outfit.

Here is my last pet bob124536 for the Winter Wonderland Ball! He’s in the Shenkuu performer mode as he is a bit of a performer and likes to entertain others. He brought along a little wind up fir tree to keep the kiddies occupied. Let’s party on!

Floxis wants to be the prettiest Neopet at the ball, so she put on a beautiful wintry dress, some lovely white wings, and a cute bow. Also, because she thinks she’s a princess she brought along a wand that matches her dress, she’s very proud, so you should compliment her. She’s kinda shy though so she’s hanging out in the corner beside the globe.

Flurnop was a little saddened by the fact that there was no tuxedo in the NC mall, so he decided to wear a chain mail suit and be a knight in shining armor. Isn’t he handsome? Oh, he said he was going to stay by the clock until Midnight, so he could catch Cinderella before she leaves.

Wudkins isn’t your typical jolly, socialite Neopet, but we still get into the spirit of the festive season with a wintery backdrop and snowflake garland - the frosty decor matches his cold attitude :D Look, he’s even holding a basket of goodies (okay, they mightn’t be typically appreciated, but Wudkins is one special character) Yes, he is wearing a wig with quite lengthy hair length, and he’s holding a royal girl sceptre, but he’s cool enough to get away with chic style, yet maintain his masculine evilness ;)

Larry’s dress for the Wonderland Ball features him doing what he does best - playing games and getting into the holiday spirit. His dress is simple, just like him. No froofy bows or sparkly tiaras. Just a nice hat to protect his ears, and a fresh pile of snowballs to pelt at unsuspecting passerby with his trusty sidekick.

She decorated her little strip of beach just perfect for the holidays. Don’t forget the large stack of presents just waiting to be handed out to her lucky guildmates!

As soon as Tangee received her invitation to attend the Ball, she raided her closet for the perfect outfit. With her freshly pressed dress and partially crooked bow, Tangee is quite ready to be the center of attention. And, of course, you simply cannot overlook the lovely housewarming gift she brings. Everyone knows, you can’t come to a party without a gift for the host. (Although one must wonder why the little man who sold it to her had so many bandages on his fingers. Must be a coincidence.)

My pretty little (ice) princess Cariedi dressed to the nines in her Snowflake dress and pretty sparkly Snowflake wand. She’s ready to give out gifts at the Winter Wonderland Ball. How mortifying, Cariedi, Oriontecho2004 and Floxis have showed up in the same dress. Cariedi’s dress-maker assured her this dress was one-of-a-kind, we won’t be going back there next time!

Revenge of the Snowbeast

With the Advent Calendar, the place is day and night crowded by people and so the Snowbeast hardly gets any sleep anymore. He decides to take revenge by stealing many of the advent gifts the people get! You start with 30 gifts and to keep your gifts safe you need to say a magical phrase to the Snowbeast. Only 1 of the 5 phrases will work and the other phrases might make the Snowbeast even more angry than usual and he’ll take away a random number of gifts, so watch out! If you do not say a phrase at all though, the Snowbeast will simply steal 5 gifts from you. This game has 4 rounds until the end of December and we’ll post on the news when a another round has started.

Secret Quiguki

It’s that time of year again when the spirit of giving is all around… why not spread some holiday cheer and participate in the nBn Guild Secret Quiguki? It’s like a Secret Santa or Kris Kringle but with a Neopian theme. All you have to do is submit your username to our Secret Quiguki and make sure you tell us which category you would like to join up with. You may write up a brief wish list if you want. You will then receive another Guild member’s name and you will buy some gifts for them. Once you’ve got the gifts, send them over to our Secret Quiguki and they will distribute the gifts on Christmas Eve. You must have posted 20 messages on the board with your current account to be able to participate. Follow the directions below…

1. Submit your name
Send in your username and what category you would like to participate in. We have two categories for you to choose from:

Snowball - gifts must be 5,000 NP in total
Snowflake - gifts must be 10,000 NP in total

If you would like to submit a wish list, enter the what you would like to receive in the wish list field. Your wish list can be as general as you want (i.e. Faerie) or very specific (i.e. Fire Faerie). Just remember that items on your wish list must not be more than the price of which category you have entered.

You have until (11.59pm Tuesday 11th December NST) 11.59pm Friday 14th December NST to get your name and wish list in.

2. Who did you get?
Our Quiguki will then NeoMail you back with a Guild members name for whom you have to purchase a gift for and their suggestion list, if they have submitted one.

Don’t fret if your person has not submitted a suggestion list. Be creative, check out their gallery and see if they collect anything.

Make sure you are able to receive NeoMail, if you can’t receive NeoMail, you won’t be able to participate in Secret Quiguki.

You will be NeoMailed on (Wednesday 12th December NST) Saturday 15th December NST with the Guild members name.

3. Buy the gifts
Your task is now to purchase an item/s for the Guild member.

The total purchase price must not exceed 5,000 NeoPoints, if you have chosen the Snowball option. The total purchase price must not exceed 10,000 NeoPoints, if you have chosen the Snowflake option. If the gift does not cost more than the category price you have entered, then purchase some fun stocking stuffers.

4. Send the gifts
After you have purchased the gifts, you now must send them to nBnGallery. Do NOT send your gifts to the Guild member that you have received - it’s supposed to be a secret!!!

You must also NeoMail nBnGallery stating who the gifts are for and what gifts you have sent over (e.g.) My gifts - Fire Faerie and Cobrall. They are for nbngallery.

The reason why we ask you to send the gifts to nBnGallery is so we can keep it a surprise as to whom is buying gifts for whom.

If we have not received your gifts by the below date, you won’t be able to participate in Secret Quiguki.

You have until 11.59pm Sunday 23rd December NST to send the gifts.

5. Receiving the gifts
On Monday 24th December NST our Secret Quiguki will distribute the gifts among the Guild members. Please ensure that we are able to send your gifts by clearing out your inventory. Make sure that you have the only Neofriends can give you items clicked off in your preferences. Items returned to nBnGallery after 2 days will be put up at the Trading Post with your username on the trade.

We already had Christmas in July, so it’s only fair if there’s also a summer event this December. And what’s better than a nice summer beach picnic?
