Petpets

 

How do I name my Petpet?
Once you have given a Petpet to one of your Neopets you can give it a name. Click on the Petpet you wish to name which will take you to the Petpet naming option. Here you can enter a name for your Petpet and even talk to it. Click the ‘Rename’ box to update your Petpet.

 

How do I paint my Petpet? Do I just use a normal Paint Brush? I tried painting my Warf blue, do I use a Blue Paint Brush?
You will need to purchase a Petpet Paint Brush or wait until you are given one from the Faeries as a random event. You cannot use a regular Blue Paint Brush. Also keep checking back at the Petpet Puddle for a list of all the colors and pets available.

 

Where is the PetPet Puddle?
You can find the Petpet Puddle by clicking on the Shops link, click on the Rainbow Pool, finally click on Petpet Puddle. This will show you what Petpets you currently have attached to your pets. You can view all the available Petpet colors by clicking on All Petpet Colours.

 

How do you feed a Petpet?
You don’t have to feed Petpet, as long as your Neopet shows it lots of love and attention your Petpet will be completely self-sufficient.

 

How do I remove a Petpet?
If your pet is bored of its Petpet you can remove it. If you intend to disown your Neopet you will want to do this or the Petpet will go with your Neopet. To do this go to the Quick Ref page by clicking on your Neopet on the left hand side. When this page loads click on the Petpet you wish to remove. A new page will now appear, at the bottom there is a button that says ‘Stop playing with Petpet’. Click this and the Petpet will now be returned to your items.

 

 

Paint Brushes

 

How can I paint my Neopet?
You need to have a Paint Brush. You can find them randomly around the site from Random Events or you can purchase one from the Shop Wizard, the Auctions or the Trading Post. There is no Paint Brush shop, although you can buy a Baby Paint Brush, Darigan Paint Brush and Royal Paint Brush from the Hidden Tower. You need to make sure that your pet can be painted the color you want, you can check out what pets can be painted what color by going to the Rainbow Pool. Once you have decided on the color you want to paint your pet, have the Paint Brush in your carried items and go to the Rainbow Pool.

 

When were Paint Brushes given out and are they still doing them?
Paint Brushes are given out as Random Events, you can not buy them from a regular store, like food, books or other items. You can however, buy them from the Shop Wizard, the Auctions or the Trading Post. Random events can occur at any time so keep an eye out for them.
Several Paint Brushes can also be won from converting World Challenge Maps.
And then it is also possible to get a Paint Brush from the Fruit Machine or from the Underwater Fishing game, but the chances are minimal, especially at the Underwater Fishing game.

 

Who is Jacko the Phantom Painter?
He is the person who gives you the Paint Brush. Unfortunately we don’t know anything about him aside from this.

How much does a Paint Brush cost?
Depending on the Paint Brush color. Regular colors like Blue, Red, Green and Yellow are the cheapest. You can get other colors like Striped, Darigan, Faerie, Disco, etc. these are rather pricey though. Just do a search on the Shop Wizard, Auctions or the Trading Post for the Paint Brush that you are looking for.

 

If you paint a pet but you want to change them back do you have to buy a whole new Paint Brush to do so?
Yes. If you have a green Quiggle, paint them blue but decide that you want your Quiggle green again, you will have to find a green Paint Brush.

 

My Chia got changed by the ray and I want it back. Since there are no morphing potions or magical Plushies, if I changed it into a Mutant Chia and then used a Chia appropriate paintbrush, would I have a painted Chia?
Yes it works.

 

 

Rainbow Fountain

 

When does the Rainbow Fountain usually come? Where you earn Fountain Passes?
The Rainbow Fountain was first here in July 2001 and again in November 2001 but has never been since then. Hopefully it will again but one never knows for sure. You earned Fountain Passes by signing up with sponsors. When and if the Fountain comes back, Neopets will have instructions on how to earn Fountain Passes.

RAINBOW FOUNTAIN UPDATE: As of June 24, 2003, the Rainbow Fountain is back! This time you do not need to sign up for any sponsors but the only way to be able to use the Fountain is by completing a quest from the Fountain Faerie, which are random and rare to get.
