I want to start a charity zapper account. But, My dilemma is making np on my Zapper account and Main Account. My Question is; can I have 2 accounts, but switch the main every month or so?
~anonymous

No, that’s not allowed and will get you frozen. You are allowed to make Neopoints on ONE main account and then transfer those Neopoints to your “charity zapper” account using the Trading Post. Also, there are different kinds of zap accounts to help others, some ways are allowed but others aren’t. You can’t just get someone’s pet to zap on your account and then return it to them. You can adopt a random pet at the Pound, zap that one and then look for a new owner for it. You can’t ask anything in return for the pets you zap, with exception of a different pet (this equals trading pets).

Where do I get my Sparkling Holiday Stocking? I can’t find it in the NC Mall!
~mr_zest

On the main page of the NC Mall, it should be the first item in the “New Items” box.

How come NeoQuest 2 is a Neopia Central game, even though it clearly states in the first village the game takes place in Meridell?
~anonymous

If I tell you I will have to kill you. …no, really, I’m not kidding.

I really want a Petpetpet, how can I get one, if that’s possible.
~dakota_watrobski

If you’re really lucky, then one of your Petpets may find one in a “Something Has Happened” event. But you can also buy one. Several can be found on the Shop Wizard. Just check our Petpetpets page to see which ones exist and then search for them on the Shop Wizard.

14 December 2008

This has always puzzled me, Pasqui. On the list of abilities, there are “levels” needed to be able to get each ability. Does this mean the level that your pet needs to be, or does it mean something else, like how many times they’ve been blessed or something?
~midgi32

It means what you said first; your pet needs to be at least that level to be able to get that ability. It also needs to already have all the previous abilities of that type of Faerie before it can get the next ability. A full list of all the abilities, and at which level you can get them, can be found here.

Yes, I’m back again! I just have a few quick Neopets related questions before I go on a writing vacation on Lutrari Island. I want to finish my rough draft of Neoplay Theatre (part can be seen on your forums). 1) Mia_Sweetie_girl gave Mr. Chuckles the last laugh in the Battledome a few days ago. Why do I still not see a trophy on my Lookup? 2) I didn’t pick up all my prizes for the Game Masters Challenge. Can I still get them? If so, where?
~veryfunkygirl

1)In your battledome stats I can see you beat the Chia Clown, but not Mr. Chuckles. Make sure you beat the right challenger, and then go visit the Defenders of Neopia again.
2)You can still pick them up right here.

What is the latest, working neopets cheat in getting Neopoints without downloading?
~yosef_yurinov

There are no cheats to get Neopoints. There are codes you can use in some Flash Games to help you getting higher scores (and so some more NP), but that’s it.

I painted my pet mutant, then afterwards painted her Christmas colored. However, when I go to play, feed her, or login with her as my active pet, she still appears a mutant! Do you know why?
~javalava338

Sometimes the pet images are slow on updating when a change is made. I’m pretty sure by now your pet appears Christmas everywhere. Nothing to worry about. :)

7 December 2008

How do people on Neopets get millions of nps when I find it so hard to get them.
~doctor_who_2007

There are multiple ways of gaining Neopoints. But the main three are: Playing games, restocking, and reselling.
Most starting players get their Neopoints from playing games, and several keep getting their NPs that way. Of the three it is the least efficient way of gaining Neopoints though. It takes quite a bit of time to get a lot. But since there are so many different games, there are certainly a few where you can easily get some NP from.
Several others restock to get their Neopoints. It takes some skill and a reasonable fast internet connection to make a nice bit of profit this way, and one day you may get hardly anything while the next day you may restock something worth a few hundredthousands or even more. More about restocking can be found here.
Then there’s a group who rather resell. All those malls you come across are mostly resellers. They buy from other users, and then sell those items again at a higher price. Because they have a wide variety of items, many people like to buy there rather than to search for each item separately to get the cheapest ones. Other resellers rather go for the unbuyables, usually ones that are low in demand. They buy from people who have a hard time selling these items, and then are patient enough themselves to sell them eventually. To resell you do need to have a nice bit of Neopoints already, to invest.

Saving all your Neopoints helps as well, putting everything in your bank will get you some daily interest. And participating at events and plots will get you items and Neopoins as well.

I can’t sign up with Neopets. Everytime I do it tells me to rearrange my cookie settings and delete them, so I do but it still does not work…
~Kirsty

I’m afraid I can’t be entirely certain as to why you can’t join Neopets… Maybe the Cookie setting aren’t arranged properly, as they said. If you’re using FireFox 3, go to Tools -> Options -> Privacy. There you will find a box about Cookies. Either you need “Accept cookies from sites” marked, or you need to have http://www.neopets.com as one of the allowed exceptions listed. In Internet Explorer there’s something similar, but since I haven’t used IE in ages I can’t really help much with that.
If the cookie settings aren’t the problem, then I really don’t know what could be, sorry.

30 November 2008

I like the Games Master Challenge, I just don’t like not knowing which games to play when I’m not told. So is there some place where I can see the games that should be played each day to beat the challenge? I know of the Qualifying Games list but I would like to know which games to play for the challenges that are given.
~hconner

As you probably know by now, we are covering the Games Master Challenge here on nBn, telling you everything you need to know about it. On top of that I’m also giving several hints there for the games to beat, so if anyone is still having trouble, certainly check our coverage!

How do you delete a guild if an user account banner is on it?
~ash710_3

I assume you mean the guild layout is covering the link to delete the guild? What you have to do first is getting rid of the layout. You can do this on the following page:
http://www.neopets.com/guilds/guild_admin_layout.phtml?id=3751887&action=1
(This link will only work to Council Members of your guild who have access to it. If anyone else has the same problem, then they have to replace the id in this link by the id of their guild.)
There you must make sure the Welcome Message is completely empty, with exception of a single word or a letter. Then save it, and the layout will be gone on the main page and you will be able to delete your guild using the Delete Guild link.

Hi, again. I don’t have any advice this time, just questions.
1) You said English was your second language last week. What’s your first language?
2) Parlez-vous français? (I do. Sorry if you can’t understand it.)
3) I noticed you gave Lenniq an Orange Slorg named “Pasqui”. Wouldn’t that be giving yourself to a Pet? You are, after all, an Orange Slorg who calls himself Pasqui.
4) What is the name of the lady in TNT Staff Smasher with the brown hair and black tank top? When you hit her, she says “Better watch your back.” and is worth seven points.
5) What is your first Neopet?

Well, I sure hope that doesn’t take you to too much trouble. As for that Slorg Costume, I have no idea why you need it, seeing as you’re a slorg already, but *white feather floats past* it’s being sent by Weewoo Post.
DISCLAIMER: No Weewoos are harmed in any way in Weewoo Post, as it is just something that came out of my crazy mind.
~veryfunkygirl

Wow, quite the post you made there! I must say though, 4 out of those 5 questions are actually personal questions about me and not really about Neopets. I know I’ve answered a few questions like these before, but this will be the last time I’m answering any questions about me. If people want to know more about me though, then they can always join our Forum and ask me there, or they can Neomail me on Neopets.
Anyhow, to answer your questions:
1) My first language is Dutch, and still is, and I still use it everyday as I live in Belgium.
2) I do speak some French, as I had to take it for 8 years at school. I never liked it though and never got good at it.
3) Lenniq’s Orange Slorg is a clone of me. Not the real Pasqui the Orange Slorg.
4) Voodoodidi. Whether or not she’s still a staffmember is unknown to me though.
5) My first Neopet ever was a Red Lupe, which is still on my first account, although that account got frozen over 4 years ago.
6) I may already be a Slorg, but one of my galleries is dedicated to anything about us Slorgs and that costume would be a really nice addition. That’s why I wanted it. :P

Where did you move the daily does?
~jolijnvb

They’re not moved. They’re still here (text only) and here (with images). But I do notice the dropdown list where they were linked to has disappeared somehow. We’ll get it back soon!

Yes, I’m back for the second time in a week, but I need help BIGTIME! I just spent almost all my NP on a Grarrl Keno Negg - what can I do with it?
~veryfunkygirl

Well, there are plenty of things you can do with a Grarrl Keno Negg: You can feed it to your pet. You can donate it to the Money Tree. You can discard it. You can put it in your Gallery or in your SDB. You can give it to someone else. Or you can simply sell it again. That’s however everything you can do with one, you cannot even trade it for Negg Tokens.

23 November 2008

Okay, so not all furniture is usable in Neohomes V2- that’s a bummer. Is TNT planning to make it all compatible in the future, or will some of it be left out?
~anonymous

Nobody of us know, and maybe The Neopets Team themselves aren’t sure yet. We can only wait and see.

I’m pretty sure you awnsered this already, but here’s the question anyway:
Suppose you complete a FFQ (Fountain Faerie Quest) and decide to save the use, than 2 days later, you get another quest, if you finish it, will you be able to use the fountain 2 times as a roll-over, or only once?
P.S.- due pepulE spel chek ask-pask?
~anonymous

I haven’t answered this question myself yet, but they did answer this recently in the official Editorial (issue 363) on Neopets, and answered this:
“You will need to use up the FFQ that you already have before turning in the second quest; otherwise, the old one will go *poof*.”
Also, normally I try to correct all the spelling errors people make when submitting their questions, but since English is only my second language I do overlook an error occasionally. But because you took so much effort into misspelling that last question, I didn’t correct it.

Where in Neopia can I buy Snow Kabob?
~tranzie

Snow Kabob restocks in the Super Happy Icy Fun Snow Shop, but the chance you find one there right now and also get it is quite minimal. Currently there are none on the Shop Wizard, so that means it’s unbuyable (cost price is over 100,000np), and so you can only find one right now on the Trading Post (or maybe also in the Auctions). I assume you want one to feed a Kadoatie in the Kadoatery? Then I wish you the best of luck, but I think you’ll be better off if you try learning some more about the Kadoatery and how and when to feed them, as it will cost you a lot less NP (but probably more time) to feed one. Just check out one of the Kadoatery chat boards (there’s always one in Avatar Chat and one in Games Chat), usually they link to one or more help pages about the Kadoatery. ;)

Hi! I was going through NbN and I have some advice for you. That is, I have figured out some things you may not have. SCREEN!! *helpers bring screen in* *goes behind screen and puts on Slorg suit* There!
1) There’s a way that you can figure out the names of items from the picture. It’s not perfect, but it’s better than saying “exact names not yet known” all the time. The url for “Pretty Pink Bruce Skirt” is “http://images.neopets.com/items/clo_bruce_girly_skirt.gif” and “A Tale of Two Lupes” is “http://images.neopets.com/items/book_lupe1.gif”. I know, it doesn’t work too well, but it’s a start.
2) The Neggs that show up in “Meerca Chase II” are completely random. That goes for Red Neggs too. Once, I earned over 100 points without one Red Negg on the screen. (Note: That’s EXTREMELY rare.)
Hope that was good… I have to take the Slorg suit off now? SCREEN!! *helpers bring screen back in* *goes behind screen and exchanges Slorg suit for Fire Faerie suit* Bye!
~veryfunkygirl

Thank you very much for your suggestions! Suggestions are always more than welcome. :D As for your Item names suggestion, we actually know about that. But the reason why we keep saying “exact names not yet known” is because the items aren’t officially released yet, only announced. This means the image has been added to the database, but the item hasn’t yet. To us it is easier then to add the actual name once the item is actually released, and if we keep using the same sentence (exact names not yet known), we also can easily see which items still have to be released, which would be a lot more difficult if we told an assumable name for the item.
I will forward your information about Meerca Chase II to BB, who updates the Game Guides. But it’s more likely it will be added if you submit it again here, and also add in some more info then.
Once more though, thank you for your suggestions. :) And can I have the lovely Slorg costume?

I have two accounts and I lost the pass of one. I tried to mail it to me but it won’t work. Here’s my question: how do I get it back?
~thyjuk123

To receive your password you will need access to the email you used for that account. If you don’t have access to that email, and you forgot your password, then I’m afraid there’s no way anymore to get back into that account. I’m sorry.

You answered in a question you have 5 Neopet accounts what’s the name of them? I like viewing cool accounts.
~thyjuk123

My current main account is pasqui_q. And I link to all four of my side accounts there.

16 November 2008

How come I can’t put NC items in my shop?
~anonymous

Neocash Items can’t be sold for Neopoints because of the very reason that this would make the whole gameplay unfair to those who cannot afford buying Neocash items. The wealthy on Earth would be able to buy hundreds of Neocash Items, and then selling them all again for Neopoints and also becoming the wealthy on Neopia. So to make things fair to everyone, Neocash items are only an extra that don’t give any advantages, and cannot be sold or traded for Neopoints or Neopoints Items.

Greetings!
I absolutely love the new Neohomes, but I was wondering about the ‘addition’ things sold in the NC Mall. Do they add more space to the inside of your house, or do they just look pretty on the outside? I think it’s a bit lame to spend $5 just to make your house look good on the outside, but I figured I’d ask before I judged them further.
Thanx! ;)
~anonymous

They are as you said: just things to make your Neohome look prettier. And to several of us this may look a waste of money, to others it’s a nice way of spending theirs. As I answered to the question above, Neocash items don’t give any advantages to make things fair, so it’s unlikely The Neopets Team will include something there that makes your Neohome bigger.

I saw someone his user profile that was full of pictures but I do not know how to do this.
~thyjuk123

To add pictures to your user lookup, you need to use a simple HTML coding. You can learn more about how to do this over here. :) Note: You can only post images that are already on the internet. If you want to post pictures that are on your computer, you will have to upload them first to an image server.

How many accounts (not Neopets) can I have for me, for my e-mail? Two? Three? Thank you. =)
~anonymous

You can have up to FIVE accounts! But note that only one account can be your main account on which you can do everything. On the other four accounts you cannot do anything that earns you Neopoints and/or Items. Those four accounts can only be used to have more Pets, to have more galleries, and/or to be in more guilds. There are a few more things you can do on side accounts, like zapping and training your pets. Basically, whenever you want to do something on your side accounts, ask yourself whether you gain something from it (Neopoints or Items), and if you do, then you’re not allowed to do it.

Do you have a lab ray? Do you use it? What’s the best zap you’ve ever gotten?
~anonymous

I actually have access to the Secret Lab on all five my accounts. It’s one of my most favourite things to do, zapping pets. I can’t really say what the best zap was I ever got though, since no matter what I’ll get I’ll keep zapping my pets. I’ve gotten all kinds of colours, from Jelly to Robot.

9 November 2008

My owner has this new accesory, and it’s driving me crazy! How do you remove items from your closet?! I can’t stand it anymore! I just want to sell that piece of dung!
~”the Head Meepit”

Firstly you must make sure none of the pets are wearing the wearable you want to remove out of your closet. If none are wearing it, then it will appear in your closet, and there you can remove. If it’s not appearing there, then you probably made it attached to one of your pets in a preset (either on purpose or by accident). To solve this, you can completely undress each all of your pets, and save them to all the preset options you have.

How do you create your own Neopet layout?
~lilneo160

I’m not certain if you’re talking about your User Lookup, Pet Lookup, Petpage, or somethings else. In all cases, you need to use some coding (HTML and/or CSS), and get some images or make your own using an art program. The last is what causes the most difficulty to many, as we’re not all graphic masters.

Where are there any avatar guides?
~glittergirl77100

Right here! :)

For some reason when I look on the shop wiz for Secret Laboratory Map, it says to narrow down my query. Why is it doing that?
~chocolatezperson

When you’re looking for something of which at least 4 different items have those exact words in the name, the Shop Wizard will say you might want to narrow down your query. (This is mostly the case when searching for something using “containing my phrase”.) But you don’t have to do that, it’s only an advise. In the case of the Secret Laboratory Map, there are 9 different items with exactly that name, so the Shop Wizard will always say you might want to narrow down your query, while you can’t. Sometimes no results will come up, as certain pieces are unbuyable and nowhere to be found in shops. You just need to refresh several times to get different results.

Sorry to bother you with another Neohome question (hands you a Plumberry Slorg Cupcake) but do you know if/when TNT will make it so that all neofurniture can go into the Neohome 2.0?
~bekkatheprincess

I’ll grantly accept that Plumberry Slorg Cupcake, and I’m not bothered at all. ;) Anyhow, I’m sorry, but nobody (probably not even The Neopets Team themselves) is certain if they will make it possible so all the furniture can go in the Neohomes 2.0. But it is a possibility, as unlike with the clothes, the furniture items don’t have to be redrawn a lot to make them customisable. Just note that this is not something that will happen overnight, there are many furniture items after all.

Dear Pasq, if your account has been frozen, can you get it back? My main account got frozen on thursday, and I’m very sad. I didn’t do anything. I also sent in a form, but TNT has not answered. Thanks. :)
~ghia928

If you really didn’t do anything wrong, and you can convince TNT of it, then yes, you will get your account back. But it can take quite a bit of time for them to get back to you, as many are trying to get their account(s) back everyday, including many who actually did something wrong. And I’m sorry to say, but even if you didn’t do anything wrong, it’s not certain you will get your account back, but don’t give up hope just yet.

I plucked a Jhudora Rotton Negg from the Snowager, and I have no idea what I should do with it! Should I sell it, feed it to my pets, or exchange it for tokens so I could by a Glam negg?!
~”the Head Meepit”

The Jhudora Rotten Negg is one of few Neggs that can’t be exchanged for Negg Tokens. So that option is already out. You could sell it, but don’t expect to get much for it. It’s very common and since it can’t be exchanged for Negg Tokens, it’s not that popular. If you can get 100np for it, then you’re lucky. And who would want to feed a Rotten Negg to one of their pets? :(

I was looking at the Neopet shields and saw that they didn’t go past 6 years. Does that mean the longest your account lasts is 6 years and then you’d have to make a new one? Or is your account still active but there is no higher shield? (Does that make sense?)
~anonymous

There’s no limit on how long you can have your account. Some people still have their account from the very first days of Neopets. Anyhow, for a long while, TNT didn’t make any new shields anymore, and everyone with an account of 6 years and older was stuck with the 6 years shield. But only just recently they did start making a few new shields again. Now you’ll get a new shield every half year after the 6 years anniversary. So at 6.5 years, 7 years, 7.5 years, etc… there’s a new shield for you. The highest shield they made now is the one for 9.5 years, but the oldest account at the moment is only at 8.5 years, so we’re good for at least one more year before they have to make even more shields for us.

When I try and put a layout on my shop, it always is broken(it has text at the top of the screen) what is wrong?
~sonamy_fan

Without knowing the exact content of your shop layout coding, nor what the text at the top is, I cannot really help. If you can submit both to me, I may be able to help figuring out the problem. :) If not possible through the form, direct email me to pasqui@*nospam*nothingbutneopets.com (remove the *nospam*).

19 October 2008

My friend can’t get their Neohome to show up on their user lookup, is there a way to change that?
~baset6

I assume we’re talking about the new Neohomes. I also assume your Neofriend made their Neohome private (either by accident or on purpose), so nobody can see it, and so it also doesn’t appear on their user lookup. To make it public again, your friend will need to go to customise their Neohome, and then click on the Options icon (the square with the checkmark). There your friend will see the Privacy options, making their Neohome viewable to: “Everyone”, “Only Neo Friends”, “Only VIP Neo Friends”, or “None”. When choosing “Everyone”, the Neohome will be shown on the user lookup. Don’t forget to save to make the changes active.

Hi, I installed the neopets toolbar yesterday and thus far have not seen the blue icon turn yellow. I am concerned that it is not working. Is there a bug in the toolbar? I have Firefox version 2.17
~frodo_yoda

Tarla, the Pink Ixi that hands out things when the blue icon turns yellow, doesn’t appear everyday. And when she does appear, it’s only for a few minutes and maybe you just missed her. Of course, it is possible that the toolbar doesn’t function properly due to the browser it is installed on or due to a small mistake while installing it, or for some other reason, but my first guess is that Tarla didn’t show up while you were online.

Hi Pasq! Is the hand/paw sticking out of Cybunnies their back leg, or is it a fifth appendage? Thanks!
~marbookworm22

The Cybunny has 2 front legs/paws and two back legs. No 5th one. I do understand that the perspective of the Cybunny’s current look may confuse people as to how many legs it has. So the hand you see sticking out (the one that can hold things) is one of the two front legs. And in the following image, a Cybunny is wearing shoes on its back legs.

Where do you get the Halloween Goodie Bags from the nc mall? Thanks :)
~ghia92895

The Halloween Goodie Bags appear randomly on the first spot of the “New Items” on the NC Mall main page. They will either say “FREE” or “SOLD OUT” when you see one, and when it says “FREE” you need to click on it and then again click on a link you get to receive the Goodie Bag.

12 October 2008

Is there a way to create walls or doors in the neohome 2.0 yet? There are icons to click that look like doors and stuff, but they don’t do anything! I want to transfer my old neohome stuff into my new one, but I don’t want to if I can’t make bedrooms and livingrooms, otherwise it won’t make any sense!
~bekkatheprincess

At the moment there is no way yet to create additional walls and doors, although by using other kinds of furniture (like curtains, paintings, etc…) you can create your own walls to make rooms. But since there are indeed the Walls and Doors options, The Neopets Team has probably intended to eventually let us being able to have extra walls and doors inside the Neohome. But when this will be added… maybe next week, maybe next year.

Hi Pasq! *waves* Let’s say I edit my pet’s lookup and type in something about a “love” of hers. Like, she’s engaged to a Shoyru. Would that be a freezable offense? Also, if you answer this question, could you please remove my username? ;)
~Anonymous

That can get you to be warned, suspended or even frozen, yes, if read the wrong way. Nothing that’s considered as dating of any kind, is allowed on the site. Everything that gets close to some sort of love roleplaying is risky…

How do you feed your Neopet(s)?
~Anonymous

Quite simple. You just need to have some food item in your inventory, click on it, and then choose the option “Feed to (your Neopet)”. If you don’t have any food, then you can always go get a free Omelette and a free Jelly everyday. Check out our Daily Do page for other things you can get everyday. :)

Hola Pasq! Do you know what the plural of the Meowclops is? Meowclopses? Meowclopsi? Or just Meowclops? Thanks!
~marbookworm22

The description of the “Spotted Meowclops (TCG)” says “Although Meowclops can see invisible things, they can never tell how far away they are.” According to this description, I’m tended to say that the plural of Meowclops is Meowclops.

Haha, another question about it again. I wanted to know if the Rainbow Swirly Thing was unlimited or limited use.
~hox1

I’m sorry if I was unclear about that last week. Since I said it was a multiple use item, I did mean it can be used unlimited times. It cannot break or anything. ;)

Hey Pasq, I was wondering if you could elaborate a bit on the Ice Kiosk Scratchcards, since the site isn’t too detailed. I’m quite sure that different scratchcards from the kiosk are limited to certain symbols: Could you help to allocate which symbols can be scratched from each? (eg, I don’t think Race to Riches has the artifact or 50,000 symbol)
Thanks!
~hox1

You are right about that each Scratchcard can only get you certain things. The Race to Riches Scratchcard can only get you snowballs, a plushie, or up to 10,000np. The rarer the Scratchcard, the more you can get from them. If I’m not mistaken (I’m not 100% sure my info is correct), the Terror Trove Scratchcard can let your pet gain a level, the Faeries Fortune Scratchcard can get you an artifact, and the Peak O Plenty Scratchcard can win you 50,000np. Only the Icetravaganza Scratchcard can win you the Jackpot.

When and how do I find out if a submission to the Neopian Times has been successful?
~mysteri_blue

Answer from christabella611:
When I saw the question that was posed about NT submissions, I had recalled that it was answered a few editorials ago by TNT themselves. Here is what they said in Issue 261:
“When you make it into the Times, do you get a Neomail about it? ~ ve_21_girl
If your article, story, or comic makes it in, you will be notified. However, as you are most likely aware by now, you do not receive notification if your question is selected for the Editorial.”
Also if the issues is filled before you submit your piece you will not be notified.

5 October 2008

Pango Pango… Is there some kind of a pattern to the items that are supposed to be put in the cooking pot? If so, what are they?
~kairiwillswantonyou

…and…

I was wondering what kind of things you could mix is the cooking pot and if possible that you could provide a few examples? ^^
~hoxyho

There’s not really a pattern as to which items you can mix in the cooking pot, and there are all kinds of combinations. From toys and furniture to food and even Petpets. Of the Petpets you can get from mixing two items, we actually have a list right here. As for the other combinations… there are lists on many petpages, and if you ask on the Neoboards, then I’m certain someone will be able to give you a petpage listing all the possible combinations. :)

Hey Pasq, I just wanted to ask what the Rainbow Swirly Thing does. Do you know?
~hox1

The Rainbow Swirly Thing is a multiple use Battledome weapon that randomly reflects 60 to 80% of a certain icon (water, fire, earth, air, light or dark).

When and how do I find out if a submission to the Neopian Times has been successful?
~mysteri_blue

I will have to ask the help of others for this question… Anyone who is used to submitting to the Neopian Times should be able to answer this, but I’m afraid I haven’t submitted anything to the Neopian Times yet.

Hi there,
I recently received a “Neopets 7th Birthday Goodie Bag” and am facing the agonizing question of whether I sell it for over 6,000 NP (which is a lot for me as a new player) or look inside and see what’s there. What’s your take? What is typically inside these goodie bags? I’m so curious! But I want the NP!
Thanks!
~seraphina44

There may be a few more expensive items you can get from the bag, but most of the time, if not all the time, you will get really cheap toys or candy like a Purple Neopets 7th Birthday Tamborine or a Pink Neopets 7th Birthday Hard Candy. The bags are more for collectors, and I would sell it if I were you.

Well, before I ask the question, I’m a Meepit, you’re a Slorg, and I want to know if you could try on our new Meepit Brand® Mind control helme… I mean “Stylen’ Hat” and maybe tell your Slorg friends, advertise… Anyways, I noticed that upper-case “I”s and lower-case “l”s look a lot alike, and someone can put a “he” in front of two “I”’s and you get a minor curse. Can you get frozen/suspended for that? I don’t have enough guts to try it. :P
~”The Head Meepit”

Let us first have some delicious Slorg Flakes before I try out that fancy hat. :)
Anyhow, any form of cursing AND the implying of cursing is against the rules, so yes, you would at least get warned for doing that if a monitor notices it or if someone reports you.

Hello Pasq! *tosses cookie* If you transfer a pet to another account, will the new account get any Paint Brush Clothes that were on that pet? Thanks! :)
~marbookworm22

Only the Paint Brush Clothes of the pet’s current colour will be transfered. So say you have a Pirate Aisha wearing the Pirate Aisha Collar and the Alien Aisha Helmet, only the Pirate Aisha Collar will end up at the other account, while the Alien Aisha Helmet will still be in your closet.

I have accomplished all of my goals (except the crazy ones) on Neopets. So I bought the Secret Lab map. I earned 3 million off the lab map and now I don’t know what to do on Neopets. Do you have any ideas? Like collecting items or something?
Thanks Pasq.
~sonamy_fan

There are always things to do on Neopets. And you don’t always need goals to just enjoy some time on Neopets. You can participate at the plots whenever there is one, or just play a game when you’re bored. If you really want to have some goals, then collecting something is always a good goal. Or getting a certain coloured pet, that needs you to save more Neopoints. Or you can try out battling, and make your pet as strong as you can. Or you can simply take a break from Neopets.

28 September 2008

Dear Slorg Saver:
I heard that Adam and Donna (the original Neopets Team) have moved on to create a new game. Do you know what that game is? Not that I would ever want to leave Neopets, but I miss the old days.
Thanks!
~anonymous

You’ve heard correctly, and I do know what this game is. It’s called Twin Skies, and will be a MMORPG that also has Flash games and other things. The actual release of the game won’t be until some time in 2009 most likely, but you do already can sign up and play some of the Flash games there. And on their forums you can even talk to Adam, Donna, Ollie (TPOSG) and several others of their staff. And they all kept their wit from the old days of Neopets. ;)
And joining that internet game doesn’t mean quitting Neopets, of course. I joined Twin Skies as one of the first, but I’m not planning to leave Neopets for it.
And while I’m at it, a big congratulations to Adam and Donna who got married yesterday!!! (27 September 2008)

Hi Pasq!
If you buy a Morphing Potion and morph your pet, will anything change other than its species and colour?
I would like to morph a pet, but I don’t want it to lose anything other than the colour and species. Please Help!
~sonamy_fan

No worries, Morphing Potions will only change your pet into the colour and species the Morphing Potion is called, and nothing else will happen. :)

Hi Pasq, I recently discovered Mirror World and I went to some of the freebie sites and won items that now do not show up in my inventory. How do I access them?
~shaniacatherine

I’m afraid Mirror World is not an actual place on Neopia, but part of another Neopets fansite, the Neopets Hive. They may be able to help you, but nobody here can help you. Sorry.

Hiya Pasq! *waves* Anyways, can boy pets wear Royal Girl clothes, and vice versa? Thanks, you rock! :)
~marbookworm22

*tries to wave back, then realises a Slorg can’t wave* At least I’m not a Rock (I’m really not!), those can’t even move…
…anyway. Yes! Boy pets can wear Royal Girl clothes and vice versa. I have both the Royal Boy and Royal Girl clothes of the Lenny, and my Lenny can wear them all. :D

Where can I find my address in Neopets ???
~alibaba_rabucha

Only once you’ve created a Neohome, you will have an address. The address of your Classic Neohome can easily be found on the entrance page of Classic Neohomes. As for the new Neohomes, your “address” is simply the ID number of your home followed by the land it is in. You can find the ID in the url when you view or customise your Neohome. So mine is 5690, Kreludor, and yours is 887659, Haunted Woods.

21 September 2008

Is there a fixed schedule for when you update “Ask Pasq”?
~tooty_fruity1000

Normally every Sunday, unless something comes in between or, like last week, I simply forget to click the “save” button once I updated the page… If something comes in between, like if I’m on a holiday, I will certainly make a note in time and either Ask Pasq won’t be updated that Sunday, or I’ll find a victim to answer the more urgent questions.

How come my questions show up almost every week? Is it because I ask good questions? I use different Neopets accounts for each question, am I lucky, or does everyone but us two have a life?
~again “The Head Meepit”

Well, your questions are good, but it’s not the sole reason. For the time being I’m simply answering all the questions I get, as I don’t get that many questions yet. The record of questions I’ve received in one week is 20, and that’s still doable to answer all. Once I’m getting many more questions than that though, I may have to start selecting which questions to answer and which not. I do hope I can keep answering ALL the questions for a long time though. :)

I asked you about finding out your birthday in order to get into an old account, but now I think that someone stole my very best account. I have noticed subtle things like the shop name is not the same thing that I had. What do I do? ALL of my best items are on there. Help!
~buddybear9592

You can see when someone logged in for the last time on that account on the user lookup, under “Last Spotted:”. Either it will say “Under a day ago”, “# days ago” or “A long time ago”. If it says a long time ago, then that’s already over a year ago, and most likely you. This is the best way to figure out if someone got on your account or not.

Why does it take so long for TNT to put out the new items that they have been advertising for so long? I keep waiting for the new Booktastic Books to pop up in the store, shops, or even the trading post, but they are nowhere to be found and it’s been at least a month since they were announced!
~bekkatheprincess

Because The Neopets Team is way behind on their to-do list. There are literally hundreds of items they haven’t actually released yet, some from more than a year ago. Personally I’m still waiting for them to release multiple Stamps they announced. But we can only wait and hope they will release these items soon.

Hi!!! I’m wondering what Morphing Potions do… I think I want to buy one if they can make your pet painted, like Darigan or Grey. Can you help???
~blackfender96

Morphing Potions change your pet into the colour and species the Morphing Potion is called. So, a Grey Zafara Morphing Potion will turn your pet into a Grey Zafara. If you want a specific Darigan or Grey pet, then you must first check if the Morphing Potion for that pet exists (not all pet-colour combinations have a Morphing Potion) and that it is actually cheaper than the Paint Brush.

14 September 2008

How much would the Darigan Aisha Morphing Potion cost compared to the Darigan Paint Brush? I want to paint my Aisha Darigan and I just found out there’s a Morphing Potion for it. I saw it in the trading post, but what does it cost?
~evilution212

Prices of Morphing Potions aren’t easy to figure out if nobody posts the price. Only those who constantly buy/sell them may know, and I’m afraid I’m not one of them. Often a Morphing Potion is cheaper than the Paint Brush though, but not always. Since the Darigan Paint Brush costs about 1,400,000np I suggest to contact the people selling a Darigan Aisha Morphing Potion, and ask them if they’re willing to accept less than that. If they won’t, then you better buy the Paint Brush.

I tried to take my pet to free training on their pet day, and it still showed that I had to pay for the course. Help, please! P.S: You Slorg.
~darkrai6507

Sometime The Neopets Team forgets to make the Free Training actually free… And it looks like they did again that day, or at least early that day. Not really anything you can do about that, besides complaining towards The Neopets Team. (Not that they don’t have enough people already who complain to/about them.)

Way back when, Neopets said they’ll get rid of all the annoying ads when they could offord it. Way back when, there was only 1 or 2 of them on each page. Now NeoPets are billionares, and they have more ads than ever! I can’t even play a simple flash game without getting distracted by an ad, or accidently clicking on it, I end up losing my focus and loosing the game. How come they still haven’t gotten rid of the ads? And please refer to me by my name.
~apparently “The Head Meepit”

Way back Neopets was still a relative small site, and way back there were others who owned it who made some of those promises. Adam and Donna haven’t been around anymore since the summer of 2005, so they can’t keep their promises anymore, and ever since Viacom owns the site, it’s quite obvious they want to make as much money as they can while still getting enough people to join and stay. This may make several of us unhappy, but there’s nothing to do about it. As long as the flood of people keeps coming, then they have no reason to change their policy. I still think that for everything we get for free playing, we actually should be very happy it stays to only ads. And there are always adblockers that you can (and are allowed to) use; Firefox has a great extension called Adblock Plus.

Usuki Baby Cupcake and Fried Salmon. where do I find these items? Please help!
~cobber_95_cutie_pie

Using the Shop Wizard you can find most of the items. I am assuming you needed them for a quest though? Either Kitchen Quest or Taelia’s Quest, I guess. Those quests are only worth doing when the cost of the items you need to get isn’t too high, as most of the time you will get a low payout from them. And of course, since you had to get them within the time they gave you, I think my help for this quest came a bit late. The items were too expensive though if you ask me, and you can always do a new quest once the time given is up. :)

Do special items in your inventory do anything, like give you better luck on random events? Have an effect on what items you get on certain things like Tombola, Underwater Fishing, Free Jelly, and so on?
~punkin1217

The “Pant Devil Attractor” is rumoured to be an item that the Pant Devil will more likely steal (in stead of one of your other items) when visiting you, but it’s hard to confirm this. And the Lutari Beads (when in your Talisman) are supposed to give you more luck (or just not) according to their descriptions, but besides the confirmed results of occasionally getting more NP from a game or getting a discount while restocking, there hasn’t anything been proven yet about what the Lutari Beads actually can do. Most speculate an increasement in random events. There are however no other items that will increase your luck at such things as the Tombola, etc…

7 September 2008

My question is, why don’t Neopets come with clothes?
~cheyenne_1231

I assume you mean when you create a Neopet or when you adopt one from the pound? Some pets do come with clothing when you create them, like the Usul, Ixi, Bruce, and Elephante. But most don’t, these pieces of clothing make those pets what they are.
When you adopt a pet from the pound, it will never have any clothing. This is to protect the previous owner from losing any items when they pounded their pet, and to back away item hunters who would surf the pound constantly in hopes to find something great attached to a pet.

Are there any cheats for the scatchcards?
~blindsboy6

Nope. They’re purely based on luck.

The New Neohomes are inaccessible, so how come some are going in as winners when they won’t even load up? I spent millions of Neopoints in my classic home and I think it’s heaps better than others that have been homes of the week, so why should I spend cash when I believe it’s all rigged anyway?
~kooshnz

The new Neohomes use the latest version of Flash, so you may have to update your Macromedia Flash Player to see them. They load fine for many others, after all. And the Neopets site keeps evolving since the new layout. It was only a matter of time before The Neopets Team got us the new Neohomes. I don’t believe they’re rigged though, and it doesn’t matter if NeoCash or NeoPoints are used for the furniture in it.

Hi, I was wondering, where is the Draik Nest
~ghia92895

Right here. There’s nowhere a link to it on the Neopets site, except in the news when they released it, and several times in the Editorial.

On my husbands account, his main pet has turned invisible. We assume this is due to lack of attention, unhappiness, etc. How do we fix this? He tried making him happy and he’s now cheerful but still invisible. Buying clothes did not help either. Suggestions? (Please don’t post my username on the page, because I don’t like random people contacting me.)
~anonymous

Your husband got the rare random event that turns your active pet invisible when it’s indeed unhappy. And I’m afraid there’s no way to undo this except by painting the pet the colour again it was.

Hi! Are we allowed entering drawings that we drew using the “How to draw” page? The picture isn’t EXACLY 100% because of how I drew it (the same as the how to draw page) and the pose. I really want to know. Thanks. ^^ Also, do we have to colour the pic? Like can it just be a black and white picture?
~shavonneyu1424

I checked the Spotlight Rules, and nowhere it says something like this is not allowed for those spotlights. The Petpet Spotlight focusses more on the writing than the drawing anyhow, so if what you have to tell about your Petpet is really outstanding, then the drawing is only a small extra and not that important. But it cannot harm to do some minor colouring (with or without shading), and maybe give your Petpet something extra and unique in the drawing. Can be a small thing like an unusual spot, or a small piece of clothing that isn’t hard to draw.

Do you know anybody willing to pay what a retired Petpet is worth and is painted Plushie? Thank You for your time :)
~wolftearsfallin

Sorry, I don’t know anybody. But maybe someone reading this is interested? Anyway, painted Petpets are difficult to sell, and sometimes it’s best to not go much higher than what people are asking for the unpainted Petpet to get it easier sold. Advertising also helps. Go to the Trading Board or the Shops Board and post about your Petpet there.

Do you have anything on your site about items that are listed as special? Why are they special? What do they do? Any type of info regarding this would be grateful.
~punkin1217

“Special” is the general term for any item that doesn’t suit any of the other types (food, furniture, etc…), so there’s a big variety of special items, but most of them are not special at all. Items of rarity 101 will also be called “(Special)”, but they’re only special because of the way you can get them. Rarity 101 items are gotten from contests, giveaways, plots, etc…

31 August 2008

Hi Pasq! On Key Quest, can you win Morphing Potions and Paint Brushes with only a Gold Key, or with any Key? Thanks.
~sonamy_fan

I couldn’t find any information about Morphing Potions being given as a prize (yet). If some have gotten one from Key Quest, then it must be very rare to get one. As for the Paint Brushes, so far there have only been reports of getting one from a Gold Key, not from any other key. But note that the game is still in Beta, and several things, including prizes, may change later on when there are more boards and more things to do.

How come TNT made it so you can’t get more than 1000np from a game?
~tooty_fruity1000

Because if the games could give you more Neopoints, then there would be many more Neopoints in circulation, causing a lot of inflation and many things would become even more expensive than they are now. It may not make sense to many, but this is pure economics.

I’ve had countless amounts of accounts frozen, but one time, my neofriend typed in the “at” sign and two cash signs, and I was frozen for it, and it took 3 months before she was frozen for doing it again. 2 questions go with this tale:
1. Why was I frozen for what she did?
2. How come it only took one day for me to be frozen, but 3 months for her?
~anonymous

Firstly, using multiple symbols like an “at” sign with two cash signs, is seen as cursing, which is not allowed.
1. You probably got frozen for this because you replied to your Neofriend, and your reply also contained those three signs.
2. Since you already got frozen a few times before, your account is more moderated than another account, so when you do something wrong (intentionally or not), you get frozen faster, often without a warning. It is likely your Neofriend only got a warning for this action, but because she did it again later on she ended up frozen too.

Is there such thing as a “Grey Smiley”? If so, is there a difference between a “Grey Smiley” and a “Frowny”?
~tooty_fruity1000

As you can see yourself at the Petpet Puddle, the Smiley cannot be painted any colour, yet. So now, there’s no Grey Smiley. The Frowny can be painted though, and there even is a Yellow version, but it doesn’t look like a Smiley.

What’s the deal with the Poogle Races? I tried to go to it, and it said it is unavailable. P.S: You Rock.
~darkrai6507

Me Rock? No! Me Slorg! Ugga Ugg!
*ahem* Anyhow… I can’t immediately tell what’s wrong. I can go perfectly fine to the Poogle Races. The only thing I can think of is that, because it’s a gamble game, The Neopets Team may have had to put restrcitions on it so people from a certain country and under a certain age cannot visit it anymore.

What do Kayla’s potions do? I had tried one before, and nothing happened. So what do they do?
~ihsh

Depends on which potion you use. Some only occasionally do a thing, like increasing a certain stat of your pet (Strength Serum, for instance). Then others are Battledome Equipment (Kaylas Potion Of Freezing), or do something else. The Turnip Tonic, also one of her potions, changes your pet’s colour randomly to one of the basic colours (Blue, Green, Red, or Yellow).

24 August 2008

Why does NothingButNeopets not have a graphics page?
~neojedi13

I forwarded this question to Megg, and this is her answer:

A long time ago we used to offer backgrounds, fan-made uber adorable adoptables and shop graphics. However we were contacted by Neopets and asked to remove them because we were not allowed to promote our site using any sort of Neopets graphics. We’ve preeetty much stuck to that since - well with the exception of some newer graphics. It’s a difficult area of the site to maintain - one which I couldn’t do by myself and would probably need someone to help out. Right now we don’t have the staff power to offer such a service but I’m definitely not going to say it won’t happen again in the future… I’ll add it to my to do list. Was there anything that you were wanting to see in particular if so contact me at megan [at] nothingbutneopets.com? Thanks for your question. Hopefully this answers it?
~ Megg

Hi Pasq! Can you create other rooms in Neohome 2.0?
~miramax100

Not at this moment, and I’m not certain if we’ll ever be able to get other rooms in the new Neohomes. But using some creativeness you can split your one room into multiple ones. Like, you could use different coloured floor tiles for each so called room.
Note that it’s still in beta testing, and several changes/additions can still happen.

What are the names of the newest potions of Brigthvale!? The 4 ones… kindly enumerate to me… please…
~_silverous_angel_

Although The Neopets Team announced them in the news, those potions haven’t been actually released yet. And only once they are released they become searchable and we can know the names of them. This happens all the time with the items they announce in the news, it can take a few weeks or even months before some items get actually released. And occasionally some items never get released.
Looking at the image urls of those four potions, they will most likely be called Squibble Berry Potion, Voidberry Potion, Skeem Elixir, and Flaming Blooble Potion. But this is not certain.

What can you get from the abandonend Blue Grundo Plushie in Faerieland?
~chippchipp8

With exception of the nightmares where it haunts you, there’s nothing to get from The Discarded Magical Blue Grundo Plushie of Prosperity. Or at least, nobody figured out yet what it does IF it does something. Most people, including I, think it does nothing, and that it has only been placed there to keep us busy wondering if it does something and trying to figure out what.

What does the Rainbow Fountain do and how does it work?
~chippchipp8

At the Rainbow Fountain you can paint one of your pets almost any colour it can be painted. But to get access to the Rainbow Fountain, you must first get a Fountain Faerie Quest, and it’s completely random as to where and when and if you ever get one.

Some people get REALLY high scores on some games!!! Like on BBB (Bruno’s Backwoods Breakaway) somebody got 9,215 on it and I know that’s impossible to get! Are they using a bot or a cheat or something?! Ohhh…TNT’s gonna get them…they’re in trouble…
~darkrai6507

To cheat those people do use cheat programs most of the time. Occasionally they cheat by abusing a glitch they found. And it’s always best to report people you are certain of that they got a score that is impossible to get, as The Neopets Team doesn’t continually check all the high scores and don’t catch everyone themselves. They need our help.

Hi, I was wondering on your page you post “Nothing But Your Neopets” on the side bar and I’m wondering how you get the images of the pets because I’d like to post my own Neopets picture on my pet page not the “photo of me one” but the one with the customizations, thanks. [^^] Oh and could you please not post my user name, thanks again. [^^]
~anonymous

There are two different images you can use, one that never changes and one that automatically changes when you change your Neopet’s customisation.
The first image is easiest to get. It’s the image of your pet that’s on your user lookup. Those image urls look like this:
http://pets.neopets.com/cp/w6fjjqd7/1/2.png (My Hissi)
The second image is also not that hard to get, and it works the same for any pet. You only have to change NEOPETNAME into your Neopet’s name in the following image url:
http://pets.neopets.com/cpn/NEOPETNAME/1/2.png
Like this is again my Hissi: http://pets.neopets.com/cpn/Qhissi/1/2.png
The difference in the urls are: the ones that don’t change have cp in the url, and a random combination of 8 letters and numbers, while the ones that do change have cpn in the url, and your pet’s name.
Lastly, for both type of images, the final number in the image url determines the size of the image (1 = 50×50, 2 = 150×150, 3 = 80×80, 4 = 300×300), and the number before that determines the mood of the pet (1 = happy, 2 = sad, 3 = angry, 4 = sick, 5 and higher = faceless).

It’s hard trying to find and buy these Usuki Dolls. I saw a Taelia one on the top banner. Is there really a Taelia or Hannah Usuki? They’re most likely unbuyable if they exist.
~danduxds5

Most Usuki Dolls are very rare, yes. All the ones that restock in the Usukiland shop are listed here, including the rarity they have (up to rarity 100). The higher the rarity, the rarer it is. There you will see one called Usuki Pirate Wench, which is the Hannah Usuki you thought. There are a few more Usuki Dolls that can’t be gotten from the shop, and have a rarity of 101 or higher (meaning they are gotten a special way or are retired). One of them is the Taelia Usuki, which you can get as a prize of completing one of Taelia’s Quests. You can actually find several of this one on the shop wizard, currently at around 40,000np.

whenever I spin the Wheel of Excitement, I land on the questionmark, wich gives me around 34 np, when I have to pay 150 np to spin it, so I lose around 115 np per spin, when there are 15 different thing I could land on. Why do I always land on the “?”? Is the game rigged? did the Meepits sabotage it so they can donate the np you lost to the “Neopia Domination foundation”? Or am I just plain unlucky?
~tooty_fruity1000

Probably the Meepits. And if not, then you’re just plain unlucky. Okay, everyone will most often land on the questionmark at the Wheel of Excitement, but not always. I myself have hit the 10,000np prize a few times, and only yesterday I won an Orange Koi Morphing Potion at it. So either the Meepits are sabotaging your game, or you’re just plain unlucky.

17 August 2008

Hi Pasq… Someone on the boards was saying that you could get a Zombie Paint Brush from trick or treat bags… Do you know if that’s true?… thanks :)
~ceciliamarialuna

It is highly unlikely that is true, since the Zombie Paint Brush was released after the last Trick or Treat Bag got released. What is true is that the original “Trick Or Treat Bag” has a very small chance of getting you a Halloween Paint Brush, but currently the bag costs almost as much as the Paint Brush, so it’s certainly not worth the chance.

Do you know where I could get a list of all Neopet characters?
~topseykrette

There are many, many Neopet charactars; from plot characters to TCG characters to Neopedia characters to Collectable Card characters. Plus all the Shop Keepers, Games characters and several others. Getting a complete list of all these characters requires a lot of work, so The Neopets Team hasn’t made one. Here at nBn we have listed most but not all on our Pet Info Pages.

Hey Pasq! I’ve heard rumors that for the new Neohomes all of your items will be returned to you and items without the storage symbol will become useless. What’s going on?
~butterflychic4121

In Editorial 354 of the Neopian Times, The Neopets Team confirmed in the very first question that the old Neohomes will still be available, and so furniture and gardening without the storage symbol won’t become useless as they will still work there. As for the new Neohomes, yes, it is still in Beta testing, but it is quite unlikely The Neopets Team will reset all the Neohomes again when fully releasing it. The basics won’t change anymore, only some updates regarding the flash images (loading, placing, etc…) and such, and those can be easily done without changing anything to the customised Neohomes. The Neopets Team wouldn’t have started selling NC Mall furniture if they weren’t certain about that yet. ;)

Can you transfer your classic neohome items to the new Beta Neohome?
~lilinnocent411

Not all of them, yet. Only those that have a little house symboly in the right bottom corner of the image, although some of those won’t work yet due to an error or so. It is quite likely that eventually all furniture and gardening items will work in the new Neohomes, but it takes some time to draw all four direction images for all the old furniture and gardening. At least they have to redraw the images only two to four times to make them work in the new Neohomes, and not 56 times as they had to do to make old clothes wearable for all species.

I wanted to know, my sisters, my mom, and my brothers are making a site… I thought maybe you could give me a few tips on how it works… If you can’t, then it’s okay, but if you could, that would be helpful… thanks :)
~toa_kopaka21

I’m a bit short on Neopets related questions this week, so I’ll take an effort to answer this one a bit. :)
If you’re completely new to making a site, then it is best to start with a single page and only using HTML. HTML is the base coding which most sites use, and a good place to start practicing HTML is one of your Pet Pages. Neopets has their very own HTML guide, learning you the basics of HTML.
With only HTML you will only be able to create simple pages. The next step is CSS, a more advanced coding, which can let you do more. Neopets doesn’t have a CSS guide, but ours is currently being updated and should be up really soon, together with our HTML guide. Both will be mainly focused to updating pages on Neopets (like Pet Pages, Shops, User Lookups, etc…), but most of the coding can also be used on any other page. We’ll make sure to announce on the main page once our HTML and CSS guides are back up. :)

I was wondering if there’s any way to know how many items of one kind are there in existence. Thanks!
~mrmudkip

Pretty much impossible. Of some items it is known only one got ever released, but of everything else it is impossible to determine how many got released and how many are still available. Some items like books and food disappear after using, other items end up on frozen accounts and disappear, and several items get discarded by people and disappear. Then of many items there are constantly more added through the official shops and dailies and such. It would also take too much of the servers to keep data of every single item ever created on Neopets, so even The Neopets Team cannot tell how many items are in existance of one kind.

Why do the creators of Neopets pretend Jelly World isn’t real when they created it in the first place?
~anonymous

Because Jelly World isn’t real, of course. It may have been created, it may even be viewable, but it’s certainly not real. Just a place of our imagination. ;)

What is a “Key Quest”?
~ashkid10

Key Quest is Neopets’ newest multiplayer game. It was still in Beta testing though, and right now down again so the Neopets Team can improve multiple things on it.

What exactly does an Essence of Everlasting Apple do? Does it turn your pet into an apple pet?
~ashkid10

It is one of the better healing potions, and heals your pet 250HP. The three other good healing potions are Super Strength Healing Potion (225HP), Bubbling Healing Goo (200HP), and Dewberry Reviver (175HP). The only ways to turn your pet into an Apple Chia (there’s no other Apple pet) is either by feeding your Chia a Magical Apple Chia Pop or by having luck at the Secret Lab Ray.

I was playing Freaky Factory and from one of the vats a Kadoatie popped out. I didn’t have time to click on it so can you (at least try to) answer what it was there for?
(psst… do you think Mr Insane is going on an INSANE! spree or what? First the stamp and now this…)
~blade_0291

The Kadoatie doesn’t do a thing, and is just a little animation to get you out of focus, making you wonder what it was for. There are a few other things that can pop up, and are all just to get you out of concentration.
And Mr. Insane is always going on an insane spree. It’s just more obvious at the moment. :P

ARRR!!! This peeves me!!! My parental consent is taking too long to update!!! My mom sent in a form about a month ago and it still hasn’t updated!!! *screams at TNT* What is taking soooo long!?! *throws angry Aisha at TNT* They have made me SO mad!!!!!!!!! I hate that stupid form…
~darkrai6507

I’m afraid you may have to wait quite a bit longer. There have been reports of it taking over 3 months and longer for some people. The reason is that there are quite a few submissions constantly, and they have to look through each submission with absolute care. They didn’t make these rules either, these are the rules of the American COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act), which they are required to follow.

Hi Pasq! I went to Kauvara’s Magic Shop and the shop was stocked with lots of Morphing Potions… for cheap! But they were gone so quickly so I couldn’t get my hands on one. And every other time I had looked in her shop there was never any! Do you know when they stock the shop with the Morphing Potions?
~sonamy_fan

That you saw a few Morphing Potions there was a really big coincidence. Almost all the time, people who don’t restock there never get to see one, let alone multiple. As all the shops, this one also restocks completely randomly. At average, it will restock about 8 times an hour, but only a few times these restocks will also include a Morphing Potion. On top of that, all the best restockers restock there, so if you’re only a starting restocker, you almost have no chance. More information about restocking can be found here.

Is there any reason why you pull the lever of doom?
~chippchipp8

With some luck you can get an avatar when pulling the lever, but besides that there’s no other reason (yet), or at least not known to anyone.

Pasq, my friend logged into Neopets and when she went to the NC Mall it said she was not logged into Neopets. Do you know what happened?
~sdsurvcnnnnnn

It may have been a bug, or maybe it’s because of the land your friend lives in. If she was still logged in when going to any other page, then definitely one of those two reasons. If she also was logged out then when going to any of the other pages, then there’s also a chance someone else got into her account, making her to log out. If you ever get logged out all of a sudden it is always best to immediately change your password, just to be certain.

Can you start an Ask Pasq archive? I’m kinda unhappy of not being able to see old questions so I don’t have to type in the same question three weeks in a row to get the answer committed to memory.
~tootyfruity1000

From the beginning we already archived all the Ask Pasq submissions, and on top of this page there’s a link to it. And several of the answers also end up at our FAQ pages for easier access.

I have 6 of the Petpet Laboratory map pieces so far. But when I go to the Lab ray puzzles section and try to check my progress so far, it doesn’t show any of my pieces. They are currently in my inventory. What am I doing wrong?
~wildchild1022

You probably haven’t collected the Secret Laboratory Map pieces yet, and as long as you didn’t convert that map yet, you cannot convert the Petpet Laboratory Map pieces.

Why does NothingButNeopets not have all the Defender Of Neopia challengers page?
~neojedi13

They are listed between all the challengers of Neopia, and in the “Location” it will say if it’s a Defender of Neopia challenger. But rest assured, our Battledome pages are being completely renewed and we will also have a better Defenders of Neopia page. :)

3 August 2008

I’ve been on Neopets a long time, but i’ve never been able to do a Fountain Faerie Quest. When does she offer them? Is it like the Snowager where you go at specific times every day? Or some other method?
~agentx118

The Fountain Faerie decides at random when she will ask someone to go on a quest for her. It is very rare to get a Fountain Faerie Quest, and some people are unlucky enough that they’ll never get one. It may seem unfair that someone who has been playing for years and years never got a Fountain Faerie Quest, while someone else who only started playing a week ago already got one, but that’s just the way things are, I’m afraid.

I know that you’ve recently answered a question similarly, but I could not find it. So I hope this isn’t too bothersome for you. What do you have to do, when your neopet won’t take the Petpet that you got them? I know it has something to do with changing your site language, but where do you go to do change it? Thanks for your time.
~staindshirt_08

Yes, changing the site’s language may help you attaching your Petpet to your Neopet. Most chance when you change the language to one of the languages that don’t use our alphabet, as the name of the Petpet will definitely change in those languages. And you can change the language at the bottom of any page on Neopets. ;)

What will happen to a Royal Boy pet if he changes gender by the labray? will he become a Royal Girl pet? Will he become a female version of the Royal Boy pet? Or…?
~ihsh

If your Royal Boy pet changes gender at the labray, it will become the Royal Girl pet and you will get the wearables. If he changes gender any other way (by using a Strange Potion or by getting zapped by the Lab Ray Scientist in the Battledome), he will become a female Royal Boy pet, and you won’t get any wearables.

Can a Mysterious Swirly Potion turn your pet into a Lutari? I know it can turn your pet into limited edition pet, but can it turn your pet into a Lutari?
~ihsh

Lutari aren’t considered Limited pets, they’re Restricted pets. The difference between Limited pets and Restricted pets is that Limited pets are occasionally available to be created through “Create a Pet”, while Restricted pets can only be gotten through a different way. At this moment, there are 8 Limited pets (Chomby, Cybunny, Hissi, Jetsam, Kiko, Koi, Poogle, and Tonu) and 4 Restricted pets (Draik, Grundo, Krawk, and Lutari), and the Mysterious Swirly Potion will turn your pet randomly in one of the 8 Limited pets, but not into any other pet.
And some more information about the Mysterious Swirly Potion: Your pet will stay the colour it was when you used on it, unless that colour is not available for the Pet it turns into. Example: If you use a Mysterious Swirly Potion on your Robot Kacheek, and it turns into a Hissi, it will be a Robot Hissi. But if it turns into a Tonu, it will be a basic coloured (Blue, Green, Red, or Yellow) Tonu because there’s no Robot Tonu yet.
And because I’m expecting this question later on: Mysterious Swirly Potions are a prize from the Underwater Fishing. When your pet has a fishing level of at least 80, it has a minor chance to fish up one.

I have 2 questions. (1. Key Quest boots me off whenever I go to play game, and it says I crashed the servers. (2. Yesterday (7/29/08) I got 2 friend requests (1 before I disabled it, and the other right after I did such) and it went through. But I do, for a fact know that it is a beta test. What is going on?
~darkrai6507

As you said yourself, Key Quest is still in Beta testing, so there can still be errors occuring. The Neopets Team likes to joke around though when errors happen, so if it said you crashed their servers, then that was just a joke. Their Key Quest server is down every so often because that’s also part of what they’re testing. As for the Neofriend requests, I got a Neofriend request of someone who already was my Neofriend after inviting her to a Key Quest game, so I assume these random requests are also errors and will be fixed by the time Key Quest gets out of beta.

I am kinda confused about what you can do on side accounts. Is there a list anywhere that I can see?
~bambi_lee

In Neopets’ Terms and Conditions, they mention the basics of what you can and cannot do on your side accounts:
“6. You May Only Have Five Accounts Because Your Pets Need Your Attention. It is important that Neopets users are responsible for their pets and play the game in a fair manner. Therefore, do not create more accounts or Neopets than you can maintain. You are allowed a maximum of five (5) accounts. One of these accounts, your main account, can do everything on Neopets. The other four accounts (except if one is a guild account as explained below) can adopt Neopets and maintain a gallery but cannot have a store, play games or any other activity that earns Neopoints or participate in any voting activities. You may freely transfer items among your accounts but they should be on the same e-mail address as your main account. If you are the head of a guild, you may use one of your five accounts as a guild account and it should be named as such (for example, Abandoned Computer Chips Orphanage guild account). In addition to your main account, a guild account can have a store but cannot earn Neopoints in any manner other than through the store, auctions and trades (and anything that happens on that account could impact your other accounts). If you maintain a guild account, you will be held responsible for that account. You are permitted only one guild account per guild.”

Basically there’s one main rule as to what you can or can’t do on your side accounts: If it benefits you in any way (getting more NP or Items), then it is not allowed to do on your side accounts, with exception of the Healing Springs.

27 July 2008

How do I know when my pet is sick? It doesn’t say on Neopets and I don’t know what it has so I can’t cure it!
~athena24

There are two pages where you can see if your pet is sick or not, and which disease it has if it is sick: the Quick Reference page and the lookup of your pet. On the Quick Reference page, this will be shown between the notices. On the Pet lookup pages you can see it behind the HP and it will say something along the lines of “suffering from …”.
It is possible your pet isn’t sick, but just unhappy. In that case you only have to let it play several times with a toy to get it happy again. :)

Hi again pasq! What’s the difference between Morphing potions and transformation potions? The morphing potions bottle is normal like, but the transformation potions look kind of mutant. Do they do something different?
~sonamy_fan

Those other potions are actually called Transmogrification Potions, and you pretty much answered your own question. The Transmogrification Potions will turn your pet into a Mutant version, like a Meerca Transmogrification Potion will turn your pet into a Mutant Meerca. Whereas the Morphing Potions will turn your pet into the pet and colour described in the name of that potion: an Orange Koi Morphing Potion will turn your pet into an Orange Koi.

How come on the user lookup it doesn’t have images for those who have played longer than 6 years?
~konfuzed_gurlie

Because nobody is insane enough to stay on Neopets for over 6 years. Well, except for you and I then, and a million others. No, seriously now, The Neopets Team has answered this a few times in their Editorial, mentioning they were behind on many things and would work on these shields. The last time this was addressed in the Editorial (issue 314), The Neopets Team said this though: “Also, along the same lines, since we were already so backed up with shield art we decided to go ahead and redo them completely in a much more interactive manner, so please bear with those six year shields just a bit longer!”

I tried feeding my chia Apple_Krisp a Crab Apple Chia Pop to turn him into an Apple Chia, but when I fed him the pop, nothing happened!
~tooty_fruity1000

To get an Apple Chia you need to feed your Chia an Apple Chia Pop, not a Crab Apple Chia Pop. All the Chia Pops that can turn your Chia into a Fruit/Veggie Chia can be found here.

Your site Petpet thing says that only one Spoppy III exists. Who is that one Spoppy III and who is it’s current owner? thanks!
~tooty_fruity1000

It is in a gallery actually. So just search the Shop Wizard with the gallery option and refresh until you find it. :P You can also find several Spoppy II this way.

Dear Pasq,
I recently picked up my free 1st anniversary gift from the NC Mall. But for the last several days it hasn’t allowed me to open the bag or add it to my closet. Did I miss a step?
~christabella

Normally you can just click on it in your inventory, and option to open the bag should be between the options. If not, then the only thing you can do is sending a bug report.

How do you get layouts on your shop?
~glitter1156

You can create your own, or you can search the web for sites with premade layouts for shops. We’re also in the progress of creating some helpful HTML/CSS guide that will certainly help you with your shop layout if you do plan to make one of your own. Once the guide is ready we’ll make sure to anounce it on the main page of nBn.

Hey! I gained all the pieces of the Petpet zap card….but I can’t use them…what must I do?
~czarno

…and…

Where is the Secret Labratory and how do I get the Petpet Laboratory Maps to work?
~chippchipp

It wouldn’t be a Secret Laboratory if we could just tell you where it is. To get access to the Secret Laboratory you need to collect all 9 Secret Laboratory Map pieces, and convert them here. And only once you have access to the Secret Laboratory, you can convert the Petpet Laboratory Map pieces to get access to that lab. Without access to the Secret Lab you can’t get to the Petpet Lab.

Is there any kind of benefit to upgrading the extension options in my Neohome? Or is it kind of a waste of money like the rest of my Neohome? (Which doesn’t keep me from collecting and theming my Neohome ^_^) I was just wondering if I should even bother putting NP into upgrading my extension options instead of spending it on furniture.
~__zsasz__

At this moment, those extensions don’t do a thing. They just show up on your user lookup, and that’s it. But The Neopets Team is just busy with totally renewing the Neohomes. Premium members actually can test out the new Neohomes since a few days, but only to a limit. It is very likely either those extension finally get a purpose, or that The Neopets Team decides to completely get rid of them. In either case, it is best to wait until Neohomes 2.0 comes out.

Sorry for being unclear last time. How do you finish the Altador plot? I’m stuck.
~Skidivershotter

Since I do not know where exactly you’re stuck at, I’ll give you a link to a Petpage that may help you finishing the plot: http://www.neopets.com/~Arrazetti. :)

How do you get the Bonju avatar?
~tooty_fruity1000

Only The Neopets Team knows. And maybe also a few Neopians who want to keep it secret. But nobody else knows yet how to get the avatar, including me.

Why does Neo sometimes charge you with a score that is impossible to get, like when you can’t get past ranks 1-2? Like on Cafeteria Caper, where they ask you to advance at 300, but that score is completely incapable of getting?
~darkrai6507

For Sponsor Games they often make it impossible to get to Master or Grand Master rank, and as for the other games; the ranking scores change every month depending on how many people can get a certain score. Because those ranking scores are determined by a program, it occasionally happens the program decides an impossible to get score is needed to become a certain rank. It would take too much of The Neopets Team’s time to manually check all the scores every month, and you must agree if we rather have them work on more important, actually rewarding things, not?

Where do you get Petpetpets?
~fishing_tycoon

You can get them from a Random Event if you’re lucky. Most can be found on the Shop Wizard, and those you can’t find there can be found on the Trading Post. Here’s a list with all of them, so just search the Shop Wizard or Trading Post for the one you want. :)

How do you get Faerie power or Fearie Bottles without going to the Magic Shops or doing Faerie quests?
~fishing_tycoon

Faerie Quests can’t give you abilities (the Faerie power you probably meant), but they do can make your pets stronger. The only way to get those abilities are from the Bottled Faeries, which you can get in several ways: Buying them in the Magic Shop, getting them from a Random Event, winning them from dailies like the Tiki Tack Tombola and the Deserted Tomb, or just buying them on the Shop Wizard.

Can your account be frozen if you accidentally logged out while it was spinning? Or will you not be rewarded?
~mandapanda533

I assume you’re talking about the Wheel of Monotony. And no, you will not be frozen for something like this, as you did nothing wrong. But you probably won’t get the reward anymore because you logged out, although I’m not completely sure about that. If you logged out and back in, but didn’t touch the window where the Wheel is spinning, it might be possible that you still get your reward. But at least you don’t have to worry about getting frozen for something like this. ;)

Where do you find cheap Neggs?
~sdsurvcnnnnnn

Depends on what you call cheap. Almost all the Neggs can be found on the Shop Wizard, and the normal Negg is the cheapest one that you can exchange for Negg Tokens. If you’re lucky you can get a Negg for free from a Random Event. Especially around easter, then there are more Random Events that hand out Neggs.

20 July 2008

My Neopets HP is lower than it should be (4/8)
How do I put it up?? Please help!
~anonymous

Don’t worry, it’s not a terrible thing if your Neopet lost some Hit Points. Many events can cause your Pets to lose some temporarily, like battling in the battledome. There are also several ways to get your pets to full HP again, the most popular one is visiting the Healing Springs. Most of the time the Water Faerie there will heal your pets. :) There are also many cheap Healing Potions, they’re named Healing Potion I, Healing Potion II, etc… up to Healing Potion XX, and the higher the number, the more they heal. There are also other healing potions that heal even more, but you won’t need those yet.

Throne room. How do you get it?
~skidivershotter

I’m sorry, but your question is a bit unclear. I assume you are talking about the Throne Room in Altador, one of the daily freebies. To get access to that daily you need to finish the Altador Plot. Only once you’ve finished it you can go to the throne room to receive something everyday.

Hello again Pasq. I’ve been wondering, how many people work at nBn? ~thanks
~ghia92895

As you can see here, here, here, and here; we’re currently with 5 people working here at nBn; 4 on both the content of the site and moderating the forum, and one solely as a moderator. Right now we also temporarily have one more team member (BB) who works on the Altador Cup coverage.

How do you get your pet to like a Petpet?
You see, my problem is that my Neopet (a Green Buzz named yudftyh) hates all the interesting Petpets I gave him. I made him play with all the merchandise of the type of Petpet (Surzard) but he’s scared of it. How can I make him like it?
~topaz242

The size of your pet’s name and the size of the Petpets their names determines which Petpets your pet likes and which it doesn’t. Same goes for which books it will read and which not. There is a trick though to get them liking certain Petpets and books it normally doesn’t like. When you change the language of the site, several items will have a different size in name (in stead of 7 letters maybe only 3 letters), so your Pet will like them. Just change the site to a different language and try giving the Surzard to your pet then. And keep changing the language and trying this until your Pet accepts the Surzard. If the Surzard could be painted, then there was a different thing you could try. Painted Petpets usually have a longer name, so your pet accepts them easier.

Do you know what happened to Black Pawkeet Slots or Brucey B Slots? I really liked playing them and then one day they were gone. That was almost a year ago. I sent an inquiry to the Neopets Team and they said it was down for a revision and would be up soon. Thank you for any answers you may have or even any ideas.
P.S. I really like your site. It gives really good hints and strategies when I am stuck. Have a really nice day.
~elmwhit123

I miss those games too… but they were taken down because several cheaters found a way to abuse those games. It looks like The Neopets Team has trouble fixing both games so they can’t be abused that easily anymore. Or they are just working on other things first. We can only wait and hope The Neopets Team will return them soon. And thanks for the lovely comments, we at nBn always love to hear that we’re of help. :D

I asked if a lot of the “oldies” were around, but one “oldie” in particular leaves my head scratching. Is Tiger Catcher still part of the Neopets Team? I think he’s AWESOME! He almost survived Mamgo Pango. (He lost to poptart. Why, I don’t know.) He was brave enough to try figuring out who the murderer was, but murdering Rhiannon as a destraction to steal all his work, was just cold blooded, and he got his revenge from the Mamgo Pango thing by whiping pop-tart across the floor in DeckBall, in an editorial 93, they state Tiger Catcher drew the new Grundo, need I go on? I hope not. Well, he still, I hope I’ve covered up enough info about him to prove how AWESOME he is. Oh, yes, did I mention he’s AWESOME? Well, returning to the question… is he still part of the TnT?
~tooty_fruity1000

I’m afraid I am not 100% sure if Tiger Catcher still works for Neopets, but I can for sure say he was still around less than a year ago, when it was the site’s birthday. He’s been spotted on the photo they showed then. So chances are high he’s still around… and who knows, he may be even reading this and knows now that he got a big fan on the site. ;)

Hey Pasq! :D I am usually bored during the summer. I would go online or I would watch television, but it gets a little boring too. What do you do to keep you awake and not bored?
~lilinnocent411

Getting a bit personal here, aren’t we? :P I don’t see any question about Neopets… so I’m wondering if I even should answer this? …well, since I don’t have that many questions to answer this week, I’ll make an exception for once. :P
Since I’m a working man, I actually don’t have much time to get bored. Even in the summer I work 5 days a week from 8 to 5, and then I also work a bit on this site, making sure your questions get answered and covering some other things. The few moments when I do get bored I usually end up reading a bit in one of the many books I own, or I get outside and enjoy the weather, usually together with my cats. There’s always something to do for me, actually…

Pasq, I was wondering with the Altador Cup Player avatar if you HAVE to get 50 wins to get the avatar…because on my account…I got it with only 48 wins (and 50 make some noise and 2 slushie slinger). I also noticed that I had made rank one…so which is it??? 50 wins or achieve rank one to get the avatar???
~imhi5dude_7_7_7

You need to get to rank one to get the avatar, and one way of doing so is playing 50 Yooyuball games. But as you noticed, playing a combination of Yooyuball, Make Some Noise and Slushie Slinger games works too, but you do need to play more of the other two games than Yooyuball to get as far.

My pet was shot with a ray gun in a random event and he is now a Baby, what can I do to get him back to his old self?
~moonshadow75

I’m afraid Boochi hit you, and the only way to get your pet back to the colour it was before, is by painting him that colour again… Boochi can only hit your active pet, so if you have a pet which you don’t mind it being a Baby pet, then I suggest keeping that one as your active pet from now on.

Hi Pasq, I had a question about transferring (not abandoning) my pet to another account - will his fishing levels remain or will they be reset to zero? Thank you!
~d_licious

Fishing levels get saved to your account and not to your pet, so when your pet ends up at a different account, the fishing level will be 0, no matter if it got transferred or abandoned and adopted. Once it’s back to the original account, it’s fishing level will be again what it was before transferring/abandoning.

13 July 2008

Could you make your replies…funnier? Like the NT?
~anonymous

Sorry, but I’m actually a grumpy old man who gets underpaid in Slorg Flakes just to answer your questions as accurate as I can. Don’t expect funny answers from me.

Do you know how the score in the Altador Cup works?
~neojedi13

I know a nice bit, but The Neopets Team keeps this a secret to everyone, so there’s no way for me to know. Sorry.

Which year did Meepits arrive in Neopia?
~tooty_fruity1000

Meepits have actually been around since Neopia came in existence, but nobody knew of them. The first time they appeared at the Spooky Petpet Shop was almost two years later, on the 30th of August 2001 to be exact. That same day the Slorg appeared!

Many people have been saying that you can achieve the ITTPD avatar by buying 80 Bone Sceptres and whatnot. Is this a glitch? I figured it is, considering TNT is on vacation, so should we sent in glitch forms? I do not want to make false accusations, but I don’t feel it is a good idea to continue to let people do this.
~camimclain

Recently someone figured out that to get the ITTPD (I Taunt The Pant Devil) avatar the total Est. Value of your items in your inventory has to be over 5 million NP. You don’t have to have one single item of that value in your inventory, as thought before. Note that Est. Value does not mean the actual value things are sold at. When you click on an item in your inventory, or search for an item using the search box on any page, you will see the Est. Value of an item. The Est. Value of a Bone Sceptre is 64,250np, while you can get them for about 300np at the moment. That’s why you need about 80 to get the avatar, as 80*64,250=5,140,000. The Neopets Team has confirmed that getting this avatar has always been meant to work this way, but did not mention it is allowed to get over 50 items in your inventory to try and get the avatar. Although as far as I know, nobody ever got warned/frozen for having over 50 items in their inventory, it may be best to not risk it when trying to get this avatar. Try to find a reasonably cheap item with an Est. Value of over 100,000np, then you will need at most 50 of them to get the avatar. 31 Blibbles for instance.

I created a new main account and this became my side account. Before, I didnt know that a side account can’t collect any monthly freebies if the new main account isn’t old enough and that it can’t visit the shrine. I haven’t visited the shrine in two weeks though. Do you think it will still contribute to my account getting frozen later on?
~anonymous

I see your account got frozen by now. I do not know if this is because of what you told me or because of some other reason, only you are told the reason why you’re frozen. The Neopets Team can backtrack things like this, and if it happened on a continual base then they do can get you frozen, even if the last time happened a while ago. They also know that some people accidentally visit a freebie only once on a side account, but their logs will also show it happened only once, and usually don’t freeze people then. But you did it more than once, I’m afraid, and that got them to act upon you.

Hi Pasq, two questions.
One, do you know if TNT will let people play Yooyuball after the Altador Cup for fun?
Also, does anyone know what some of the prizes will be?
Thanks ~ nBn rocks!
~ghia92895

Hello :)
Yooyuball has been around since the first Altador Cup, two years ago, but has only been playable in the Altador Cups so far. So it does look like it won’t be playable again after this Altador Cup until the next Altador Cup. Same for Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise. But who knows, maybe The Neopets Team decides to keep them around this time, although I doubt it.
As for the prizes… Nobody knows for sure yet. We most likely can expect another painted Yooyu, a Paint Brush, one or more wearables and some Toys, Plushies and Books. Maybe also a Stamp and one or more Battledome items and some Furniture. But nothing is certain yet.

Hi, Pasq :D Your answers always help so I wanted to ask you another question. About how long does the Wheel of Monotony go?
~lilinnocent411

Hello :) And glad my answers help at least someone. ^_^
Usually the Wheel of Monotony goes no longer than 3 hours, which is already quite monotone if you ask me… There have been reports of the wheel spinning longer, but if they’re true, then it doesn’t happen often. 3 hours is already long enough… and then that Flotsam of the Wheel of Mediocrity thinks his wheel is boring.

How can I get Job Coupons?
~applecookiedreamboat

You can win them from the Wheel of Knowledge. :) Or you can just buy them on the Shop Wizard or the Trading Post.

I was trying to buy a Scratchcard and it said I didn’t buy one when I did. I looked in the Shop Wiz, I tried to buy a few different ones, but when ever I did, it said “Error: We could not reduce the amount of this object. Thats a relief, it could have been duplicated!”. What was going on?!
~darkrai6507

There may have been a few problems when The Neopets Team returned the Scratchcard Kiosks. I was able to buy Scratchcards just fine the past days, so if you still have this problem, I suggest sending a bug report to The Neopets Team.

I was reading the Ski Lodge Murder Mystery (Thank you. That plot is AWESOME!) And then I wondered… are any of those Neopets Team members (other than #6 and PopTart) still part of The Neopets Team? I see Tiger Catcher and Mr. Ro-Boto around now and again, but that’s it.
~anonymous

Actually, Number Six (Adam) and Pop Tart (Donna) haven’t been members of The Neopets Team for a few years now, despite them still being listed on the About Us page. Of the others, there are still a few of the “oldies” around, yes, although their aliasses may have changed (Mister Pickles is now El Picklesaur, for instance). Several of them who participated in the Ski Lodge Murder Mystery also participated in the first Altador Cup, the last time The Neopets Team entered themselves in some sort of competition. To name a few: Mr. Insane, Dom Dread, Jimmy James, El Picklesaur and the two you named.

There is a bunch of plots I wish I could have been in, but I didn’t have my account back then. Is there any way I can still do any of the plots?
~neopokepirate

I’m afraid all those plots were only available the moment they came out, with exception of one: The Altador Plot. Luckily there is a new plot every so often, so just stay around and participate at the new plots. :)

I know this is like the 4th question I’ve asked this week, but this I need to know!
What is the code to the Kreludan Mining Corp.!? How do you find it out? What’s so special about it?
~tooty_fruity1000

There is no code as far as anyone knows. It’s just one of many things on the site to bug us making us wonder why it is there. However, unlike other such things, the Kreludan Mining Corp. has actually served a purpose at a moment. In the Lost Desert plot you had to collect parchments at a moment, and one of those parchments could be gotten by entering the 8 numbers you got at the Kreludan Mining Corp. These numbers were different for everybody.

Hey Pasq!
My Strawberry Tuskaninny is unhappy, and I don’t know why! She’s fed, and her health is 32/22! It just says her mood is unhappy, and she looks so sad. Do you know what I can do to make her happy?
~chocolate_lab_80604

Hello :)
I suggest letting her play with some toys. (When you have a toy in your inventory, click on it and select the option “Play with …”) Just keep playing, and her mood will go up and up until she’s delighted again. :)

Hola Pasq, How come there’s a url to Jelly World but I can’t find it on the map?
Every so often, I click on the explore button and try to go to Jelly World, but I can never find it and I always end up typing the address. So, my question is, is there a way to get there like you can get to Neopia Central or Tyrannia on the map? If so, where?
~shadow_at_night

Hello :)
It’s because Jelly World simply doesn’t exist… How could they link to a world that does not exist, after all? Everyone knows Jelly World is just imaginary…

Help! I wanted to create an adventure, but I don’t know how and where. And where to SUBMIT??? I found the HELP page, but it’s not helping…….. I’m still confused!
Please tell me where do I have to submit my adventure, and where (and how) can I make one. Thanks.
~_animallover_65

Adventures can be made here. You can get there by going to the Games Room and then to Adventure Games. There you will find the Neopian Adventure Generator. Everything else, from how to create one to how to make it available to the public, is explained there. :)

Something is happening: I can’t go to Neopets, whenever I try it says Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage and I was just vissiting it a few minutes ago. What should I do? Help please, I can go to other sites but the browser is not letting me go here. :(

Answer from someone anonymous:
The user just might need to clear out their cookies.

To do this, in Internet Explorer 6,
1. Exit Internet Explorer 6, and then exit any instances of Windows Explorer.
2. Click Start, click Run, type inetcpl.cpl, and then press ENTER.
3. On the General tab, click Delete Cookies in the Internet Properties dialog box, under Temporary Internet Files.
4. In the Delete Files dialog box, click to select the Delete all offline content check box, and then click OK

To do this in Internet Explorer 7…
1. Exit Internet Explorer 7, and then exit any instances of Windows Explorer.
2. Click Start, click Run, type inetcpl.cpl, and then press ENTER.
3. On the General tab, click Delete under Browsing History in the Internet Properties dialog box.
4. In the Delete Browsing History dialog box, click Delete Cookies.
5. In the Delete Cookies dialog box, click Yes.
Note from Pasq:
Clearing out your cookies every so often is certainly not a bad thing, and won’t harm your computer. The above is savely to be done. It is not completely sure this will solve your problem though, but I say it can’t harm to give it a try.

Is it true that you *may* get a random Paint Brush by feeding your pet a Scarblade Negg?
~ihsh

There are indeed some rumours about this, but personally I haven’t seen anyone confirm this yet. And if it is possible, then it must be very rare to happen. The Scarblade Negg was a plot prize, so only a limited amount have been released, and this was over three years ago. The price of a Scarblade Negg is still only 22,000np though, which ensures me it’s only a rumour you can get a Paint Brush from it. Else the price of a Scarblade Negg certainly would have been a lot higher by now.

What is a Utility Fish? Why did the shop that sell Utility Fishes disappeared?
~ihsh

Utility Fishes were once sold in the old Maraqua and are helpfull fishes that can turn into handy tools. But when Maraqua got destroyed, the shop got destroyed too and never reopened, not even after they rebuilt Maraqua. So all Utility Fishes are retired and are now collector’s items.

Hi,
2 questions for you, really - I know there are dozens of game cheats and codes out there to help you get higher points on games. (I assume the coders put them in there on purpose to reward the very persistent??)
Thing is, on a game I really like to play, Goparokko, I can’t get much beyond 13,000 and that’s with a lot of concentration. Yet, I see people scoring in the hundreds of thousands! There has got to be a cheat going around for this game, right? Or do you know if it’s possible to play “straight” and just get the points to go that high? (Please leave my user name anonymous, thanks!)
~anonymous

Firstly, everyone must realise there are codes made by The Neopets Team and those are more than okay to use, and then there are cheats made by users, usually involving a program, and those are absolutely NOT allowed. On our game pages you can find the codes The Neopets Team made for us freely to use for those games.
Anyhow, as for Goparokko, at this moment there are no codes for it yet, and it’s not possible to play an endless game (Zen Mode) of this like you can in Destruct-o-Match III. How those people do get such a high score… that’s their secret, I’m afraid. If they did all cheat, then The Neopets Team will certainly take care of them.

Hi, Pasq! :D I was wondering, do you have an account on Neopets? If you do, what is your username?
~lilinnocent411

Yes, I do have an account. And it’s not a secret, everyone who joins the forum can immediately see my username on Neopets, so I can as well tell it here: it is… *Meepit passes by and starts to growl*
…eh, on second thought, the Meepits rather have me not share my account name to such a wide audience. It might be better to just join the forum if you want to know mine.

(My username on Neopets is pasqui_q, but don’t tell the Meepits I told you.)

I solved the Altador Plot almost a year ago and I still have not recieved my trophy or rewards. I wrote The Neopets Team a few times and I still have not recieved an answer as to why. I remember reading that they were having problems with this plot and that they were trying to fix it a long time ago. While doing my dailies I recieve the gift from the King and ever so often, it’s like the first time I finish it and, it says that I get my rewards. When I check I still don’t have them.
Do you know why I still havn’t recieved my rewards or can you please tell me where I have to go and who I need to talk to to get this fixed.
Thanks
~snowsimple

I’m afraid I won’t be of any help here. It sounds like you already did everything you could do… I know people who completed the plot recently and they got their prizes and trophy, so this glitch is only happening to your account (or maybe to a few others too). I’m really sorry I can’t be of help, and I do hope for you it gets solved eventually.

What are the easiest ways to get Meuka as a battledome challenger?
Some people say you can get the illness from the Wheel of Misfortune or the Wheel of Excitement, but as yet it hasn’t happened to my pets.
~notaneopian

…and…

I need to get Meuka as a battledome challenger for Defenders of Neopia, but I have to get either the Sneezles or Neoflu. Is there something that will make my pet sick or do I have to wait for something random?
~twixzbaby8892

At this moment there are no items that ensure you to get Sneezles or Neoflu. The only way is by becoming ill at random or getting ill by one of those two wheels, although the disease you can get from the Wheel of Excitement is always the same until The Neopets Team changes it to a different one every so often. The disease you can get from the Wheel of Misfortune is random, so you can get any of the 35 diseases there. Then there’s one other way, by feeding your pet a Ferocious Negg. But they are very, very costy and the disease you get is also a random one, so I really don’t suggest this.

It says you can get the fishing avatar randomly after you reach level 80, but as I fish everyday and my pet is now fishing level 154 and I still do not have the avatar I was wondering if the avatar is still available or is there a bug or am I just unlucky with this avatar? lol
~notaneopian

You get the Fishing avatar when you catch a Titanic Giant Squid, which you cannot catch if your level is lower than 80, yes. But it is still random as to what you catch, so it does look like you’re quite unlucky you still haven’t caught one by now. I do notice you’re using only one pet to fish, but you’re allowed to use all your pets on your main account to fish with! So once they’re all at the fishing skill level 80 you have more chance to capture a Titanic Giant Squid and getting the avatar.

I had an account scammed, getting it frozen. Then the scammer had the gall to use my email to try and get the account back, but it was denied. So when I came online to find all this out I mailed TNT and sent in the forms explaining what happened. I’ve been doing this for almost 3 months, and they’ve never replied, not once. Is there a reason for that? Or am I just seriously unlucky?
~illymavrick

Since both your Neopets account and your email account got in hands of the scammer, it is quite hard for The Neopets Team to determine if you’re telling the truth or not. The first time your email account got used asking to get your account back, the IP address connected to it was most likely also the same one as the IP address used when your scammer did all kind of wrong things on your account. Also, if you keep using the form over and over again, The Neopets Team automatically puts your case somewhere at the end of the list, as you are somewhat spamming them with it. It does take time to get back to everyone. If you still want a chance on getting your account back, then refrain from using the forms and wait for them to reply.

I was wondering, is there a limit to your Level, Strength, etc… etc…?
~blade_0291

No, you can endlessly train them at the secret Ninja Training School if your stats are too high for the Training School on Mystery Island. But at this moment, and it’s been like this since the dawn of the Battledome, the damage your pet does won’t go up anymore after your pet reached 700 in Strength. So a pet with 700 Strength is as strong as a pet with 3000 Strength. Same counts for your pet’s Defence. And Movement is only used for certain items in the Battledome, so getting that high is only neccesary if you want to use those items. The only thing that keeps making a difference is your pet’s HP.

How can I make my Neopet’s HP higher? Because my Neopet’s HP is only up to 6.
~tunikuni

The main way is to train your pet. You can do this at the Academy on Krawk Island or at the Training School on Mystery Island.

Hi! I would simply like to know if Neopets would possibly ever change the site layout back to the way it was before… tool bar, task bar, some worlds… because I don’t like it all that much and it’s really hard to use.
~honey211293

I’m afraid you’re stuck with the current layout. The Neopets Team has no intention at all to change the layout back to what it was before. They stated this clearly only a bit after the release of the new layout. They’re still working on the current layout and editing a few things every so often, making it easier to use, or at least they’re trying to. Some people have more trouble to get used to the current layout than others, yes, but it’s been over a year now so you better get used to it if you plan to stay.

My Petpet is back! How do I feed a Feepit?
~god_kacheek_800

It was gone? Oh my! Good thing it ended up back. :) As to feed it: have it in your inventory together with a bunch of foods and refresh, refresh, and keep refreshing. One moment it will actually eat one of your foods!

I was just wondering how people get the avatar from Meerca Chase II (other than the superextrahypergravitymode) and how often do Fish Neggs come up in MCII???
Thanks for answering!!!
~imhi5dude_7_7_7

Some people are just insanely good at this game. Most became so good after lots and lots of playing it. As to how often a Fish Negg appears, I do not know exactly. But since the Fish Negg is worth 50 times as much as the Happy Negg, I assume this also means there’s a 1/50 chance you get a Fish Negg. Theoretically that means about every 50 Neggs one should be a Fish Negg, but it is as well possible to have bad luck and only get one after 200 Neggs while others may get two between their first 20 Neggs.

My Neofriend Neomailed me a link to a scamming website, telling me that she got 1 million NP from it. I went to it, and knew it was a scam because they asked for my password. I logged off, and the next morning, my account was frozen! How come?
~anonymous

It’s best to not even visit such sites, as several have software on them that grab cookies from your computer if your computer isn’t protected enough. I’m afraid you visited such a site, so although you didn’t enter any information, they got all your information from the cookie they grabbed from your computer and still scammed you, getting you frozen.
I suggest to use this form and tell them everything you remember about your account, and that you got scammed. Your IP address should confirm that it wasn’t you who did the bad things on your account that caused it to get frozen. Hopefully this will at least get your account back, but everything the scammer took will be gone though. Also report this so called Neofriend of yours, if they’re not frozen yet. He/She was probably the scammer and if not, still the one who sent you to that page.

Something is happening: I can’t go to Neopets, whenever I try it says Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage and I was just vissiting it a few minutes ago. What should I do? Help please, I can go to other sites but the browser is not letting me go here. :(
~tania_rida

My suggestion: get Firefox. It’s a different web browser and probably won’t give you this problem. If you don’t want to get a differnt browser (or if you’re not allowed to), then I can’t really help you as it’s certainly a problem with your Internet Explorer browser and I’m far from an expert on that. The only thing I can suggest then is to reinstall it.

Can a side account get your monthly freebie for the months if your newly created main account is only about a week old? Also, if you use the shrine to try to make your other pets stronger, does that count as cheating?
~xcandycan3

No, you cannot collect any freebies on a side account, no matter what. And because it is possible to get Neopoints or items from the Shrine, it’s not allowed to use it on your sides. The only “freebie” you can enjoy on your side account is the free training on Pet Days. And you’re allowed to go to the Healing Springs to heal your pets.

Hi Pasq! When I try to play games like Dice-a-Roo, Bilge Dice, Grarrl Keno and some other Luck Games, it won’t let me play them, it says “sorry this game is unavailable”.
And when I go on my other account and try and play them, it lets me! Do you know whats wrong?
~sonamy_fan

Because of some Australian laws, underage people in Australia cannot play the Luck Games on Neopets. This is most likely why you can’t play them on your main. That you still can go to them on your side accounts is probably because your age on them isn’t underage, or maybe because you have entered a different location. But since you’re not allowed to play games on your sides, that won’t help you.

What happened to your HTML guide? I loved it and it had everything. I can’t find it now!
~anonymous

The HTML guide is in the works along with a few other projects. We’re hoping to get the HTML guide back online as soon as possible. :)

I am trying to get 4 Chias and make them fruity, but I can’t find any Chia Pops that turn Chias fruity anywere! Do you know where I can find one for, I dunno, 100,000np or less?
~tooty_fruity1000

All 21 Chia Pops that can turn your Chia into a Fruit or Veggie Chia are rarity 99. This means they’re very rare and not often a new one appears on the site. This and the popularity of them makes them cost quite a bit, and you won’t find any for that much. They will all cost more and you should be able to find them on the Trading Post.
A different way to get fruit Chias is by getting access to the Secret Laboratory and zapping your Chias there. There’s a fair chance they will turn into one, but it is also possible they chance species. However, you could keep creating/adopting new Chias and zapping them until you have 4 fruit Chias. Getting access to the lab will still cost you about a million NP though, but I think it’s cheaper than buying 4 Chia Pops. And if you want you can even transfer them to side accounts then and try for more than 4 fruit Chias.

If a pet is wearing clothes can Boochi still zap them? He’s come once before and I was wondering if my Eyrie’s wearables stopped him. Thanks!
~marbookworm22

Boochi doesn’t care if your pet is wearing clothes or not, it will just zap them if he passes you. But Boochi can miss, he’s only a Baby Bruce after all and not the best aimer. So that’s probably what happened when you encountered him: he aimed, zapped, and missed. You were lucky if you didn’t want a Baby pet, or unlucky if you wanted one.

I was playing Hasee Bounce one time, and this sheet of paper floated past the screen. I couldn’t click on it because I was concentrating on the game. It looked like it had some writing on it. What was it?
~goldie590

Answer from golden145:
“That paper that flew says ‘meepits were here’ because it happens in a lot of game like Usul Suspects.”
Additional answer from Pasq:
Thanks to the information provided by golden145, I finally could figure out the whole thing. What is actually written on the paper (and golden145 probably meant) is most likely “Weepit was here”, a message that indeed can be found appearing in several other games (Jolly Jugglers, Volcano Run II, Imperial Exam and Crisis Courier are some of them). This paper probably does nothing as the message does nothing in those other games. It’s just a way of the game coder to add something of itself into the game, like TPOSG does with other games.

29 June 2008

Hey, Pasq. I got a Fountain Faerie quest. My friend said “You can only use the Rainbow Fountain once for every quest you complete.”, yet another source says “You have an unlimited amount of usage for one quest.” Which one is true? And can you buy the item on a side, and send it to your main, or is that cheating? Please keep my username anonymous. =) Thanks.
~anonymous

Your friend is correct. You can paint only one of your pets, and only once, for each Fountain Faerie quest you complete. You don’t have to paint your pet immediately when you complete the quest though. And no, it’s not allowed to buy things on your side accounts, even not for Faerie Quests. Safest way is to ask a Neofriend or someone on the Quests Neoboard to search the item for you. ;)

Three of my pets are sick: one with Neomonia, one with Ugga-Ugga, and the other with Reptillioritus. I have found Medicinal Soap because it’s usually in the pharmacy, however, the Sporkle Syrup and Cactopus Cream I need are nowhere to be found, not even in the marketplace, and trust me I have searched and searched. Any idea? Thanks in advance!!!
~avachick04

Some medicines are really expensive, yes. And usually it’s best to just visit the Healing Springs as often as you can, and on one of those visits the Water Faerie will cure all your pets. You can visit the Healing Springs every 30 minutes and it’s completely free. You can also try to give your pet a disease that is cheaper to cure, like weasleyismyking in the question below did. Feeding them a Poisonous Jelly, for instance, will give them Neomonia, which can be cured by Medicinal Soap as you know.

Hi! My Neopet caught Reptillioritus a while ago, and it said the cure was Cactopus Cream. I looked it up and saw that it wasn’t TOO expensive…it wasn’t in the medicine shop at the time, so I used the Shop Wizard. NOBODY, and I mean NOBODY, had Cactopus Cream! When I tried the Trading Post, it was rarely there, as well as the auction place! I mean, it was impossible to cure, unless I wanted to spend over 50,000 NP. I eventually made my Neopet catch Neomonia, so I could at least cure it (if not expensively!). But if that predicament ever happens again, it will be REALLY hard! Where do I get the cream?
~weasleyismyking

As I said in the question above, the best way is to visit the Healing Springs as often as you can to heal your pets. It’s free, but it can take some longer to cure them. Also, when you search for an item and get the Estimated Value, know that this value almost never relies to the price people ask for it on the Shop Wizard or the Trading Post. The Estimated Value is just something The Neopets Team adds when they release the item and has other purposes.

How can I get the Secret Laboratory Map for cheap? I managed to get all of the Petpet Laboratory Map pieces. I have another question: How do you get your pet to be a Notable Neopet? I really need help.
~lps_freak

There are two ways to get them for cheap: You need to be lucky to get them in Random Events or you need to be lucky to find one being sold for cheap, usually by someone who doesn’t know the price of it. Sadly enough, if you’re not that lucky, you’ll have to pay the big amount of Neopoints to get all 9 pieces.
As to how to become Notable Neopet; like I said last week you need to enter your pet in the Customisation Spotlight, and if it wears at least four wearables it has a chance to appear as Notable Neopet. This is completely random though, so to improve your chances it’s best to enter every week.

I was playing Hasee Bounce one time, and this sheet of paper floated past the screen. I couldn’t click on it because I was concentrating on the game. It looked like it had some writing on it. What was it?
~goldie590

This question actually got me stumped. I never heard of this before, nor can I find any information as to what this might be. I’ll have to call in the help of anyone who’s reading this: if you’ve seen this sheet of paper as well, let me know. And even better, if you know what it does, certainly let me know! You can use the same form below for this.

Hi!!! I am quite new and I really want a Poogle and I even searched it up on the internet and someone said you can use these two websites which you can put your pet up to show to be adopted, and I found Poogles but I have to mail the person, but my parents haven’t given parental permission. Can I get a Poogle another way?
~dragon_master_886

Adoption and Trading Agencies, like the websites someone told you to go to, aren’t always an easy way to get a pet, and not at all for youngsters like you who cannot Neomail others. I’m afraid you will have to wait until Poogle Day (19th September) and try to create one then, although as explained in the next question, there might as well be none to be created that day. The other way is to transform one of your pets into a Poogle, but this is quite costly. There are Magical (colour) Poogle Plushies and (colour) Poogle Morphing Potions, but they all cost over a million Neopoints.

Hey Pasq! I was wondering, for LE pets, if they are released on their pet days? Some say not on weekends, but that doesn’t explain the Cybunnies being released on Saturday. I’m really confused, and I hope to get a Poogle in the future… help?
~fuzzyfuzzles__

There’s no fixed scenario as to if LE (Limited Edition) pets get released on their pet days. It all depends on The Neopets Team: whether they feel like releasing some and if they actually remember to do so. Sometimes it takes a few days before they get released, and other times they get released in small waves and can take even several days before all are released. And occasionally none at all get released, we can only guess as to why.

I’m probably the most unluckiest. All of my accounts have been scammed and I just made a new one. All I did was ask on Google “free paintbrushes” as all I want are a Ghost, a Lost Desert, or a Darigan Paint Brush. Can you help me?
~elewis100

It’s always risky to search for cheats or free things on Neopets using search engines like Google. Scammers can create sites with cookie grabbers, so they can get all your information from the cookie, which most likely happened here.
And there is no easy way to get a free Paint Brush. If you’re really, but then really really, lucky, you might get one in a random event or from a daily like the Fruit Machine. But as I said last week, it’s quite unlikely to happen and it’s best to just save your Neopoints and end up buying one.

I can’t find a White Paintbrush, how much do they cost??
~bonesinlove_w_edward

Maybe you can’t find one because the name is actually White Paint Brush, not Paintbrush in one word. It’s a common mistake. Another reason why you might not find one is because you’re looking in the wrong place. White Paint Brushes cost over 100,000np, so none can be found on the Shop Wizard. But plenty can be found on the Trading Post. It looks like they cost about 500,000np at the moment.

This might sound stupid but… did Neoschool start yet? Lots of people on the boards say it started already?
~bayleaf62

No questions are stupid. ;) And no, the Neoschool hasn’t started yet, and probably never will. The people on the Neoboards are probably just joking around.
…although, never say never. After all, after a few years of time The Neopets Team did start the Return of Dr. Sloth plot while it was cancelled.

Pasq,
It seems like when a couple new buddy icons are added to the MSN icons, a few off of the end just disappear. I can’t seem to find where the older icons are like I can with the AIM icons. Do you know know where this link is, or if it even exists?
Much love and appreciation.
~nina_vey

It looks like The Neopets Team made a small error when coding the page. The AIM / MSN/LJ icons page is separated in two sections that can be shown apart. But The Neopets Team placed the “Start | « Previous 24 | Next 24 »” navigation in the AIM icons section, so when you view only the MSN/LJ icons section the navigation isn’t shown anymore.
If you look at both icon sections at once, you can navigate through the MSN/LJ icons as well when clicking on “Next 24″ and such. But when you’re viewing only the MSN/LJ icons, then you still can navigate through them by changing the number in the URL:
http://www.neopets.com/buddyicon2.phtml?disp=msn&offset=0
Just change offset=0 to offset=24, offset=48, etc…

How old is Adam? How old was he when he started Neopets? If you don’t know, please just tell me what you think.
PS- please keep my username anonymous.
~anonymous

Currently, Adam is 31 years old and turns 32 on Borovan Day (20th December). So when he started Neopets has was 22 years old, about to turn 23.

Why is it so hard to find Morphing Potions in Kauvara’s shop and why is it hard to find Magical Toys and Plushies in the Toy and Plushie shop (marketplace and trading posts don’t count)?
~knightwolf423

Morphing Potions and Magical Toys/Plushies have a very high rarity. The higher a rarity, the less likely it will appear in a shop, so that’s one reason why they’re hard to find. The other reason is that those shops attract many experienced restockers, so once such an item appears it takes only a few seconds before it’s bought by someone.

How do you get like a million Neopoints?
~bananas95843

By staying on Neopets and keep playing. There are multiple ways to gain Neopoints, from doing the dailies to playing games to restocking to participating at events like the Return of Dr. Sloth Plot and the Altador Cup. Just do a bit of everything and try to save your Neopoints. More help for gaining Neopoints can be found here. :)

Hi Pasq. I find it really hard to get NP, and since you have been playing for qite a long time now, you probably know the quickest way to get lots of NP to buy stuff.
~anonymous

The quickest way is different for everyone. If you’re a great gamer, then games might be the quickest way for you. If you have a fast internet connection and are fast and patient yourself, then restocking might be the quickest way. Then there’s also the stockmarket, but that’s usually not the quickest way for lots of Neopoints.

Hello =)
I have always been curious about the Neopian stocks. I know little about the stockmarket in general, and was wondering if there was any page on Neopets that I could go to to get more informtion on the stocks. Also; are stocks used to make money? Please inform me, oh great one x)
~complementing

Your username really suits you, I must say.
Anyhow, as explained just two days ago in the editorial of the Neopian Times issue 349, the stockmarket is completely random as to which stocks will go up or down and by how much. Basically in the stockmarket, you try to buy shares for cheap (you can’t buy them if they’re at less than 15np the share though) and you sell them when they’re higher. The higher your shares get, the more profit you make. Most people who play on the stockmarket buy everyday 1000 shares at 15np (you can’t buy more than 1000 shares everyday), and then sell them days to months later when they’re at a much higher value (some are happy when they’re at 30, others wait until they’re at 100).
And if you’re wondering if the stockmarket is used to make real money, then the answer is no. It’s only used to make Neopoints.
And a little more info about the stockmarket can be found here. :)

I really need to know what stocks are because I brought three.
~funkye111

I pretty much explained all that in the question above. :) And again, for more information you can always check this help page on Neopets.com

This is kind of a weird question, but whenever I go to Neopets, it always directs me to the “ask.com” search place and searches up Neopets. I could still go on other sites, except the site that has “neopets.com” in front of the site. Is Neopets having a glitch?
~lilinnocent411

This must be a problem with your computer or internet browser. Try using a different internet browser than the one you’re using now (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, etc…) and if you can visit Neopets there, then it must be your browser acting up. I’m afraid I cannot really give a solution though. I would suggest reinstalling your browser, but I’m not certain if that will fix the problem.

I was just wondering where Mystical Surroundings was located in Neopia. I’ve looked for it (I figured it was in Shenkuu), but I never found it.
~kay_dunn

It’s located in Qasala, which is in the Lost Desert. :)

How do you pronounce your name?
~anonymous

Not really a question about Neopets, is this? :P But I’ll answer it because many might be actually wondering about this when asking me a question.
When calling me “Pasqui”, you should somewhat pronounce it like “pass-key” or “pass-kee”. NOT “pass-kwee”, although many probably do. My name is pronounced the Dutch/French way, where words with a Q usually don’t have a W sound after it. As for when you shorten my name to “Pasq”, like it’s being used here, then it’s like “ask” but with a P in front of it. That’s why this here is called “Ask Pasq”, it nicely rhymes. :P

Hi Pasq. After some time on Neopets, also I have done and learnt a thing or two, but I always asked about the wishing well. How does it work? Is it random? Can you bargain your wishes? Is there a limit of requests per day/week/month?
Thanks in advance for your answers and attention.
~aih_ocelotl

In Neopets’ FAQ they actually answer this right here, or at least part of it:
“It does not matter how much you donate. Whether your wish is granted will remain completely random so feel free to donate as much or little as you want!”
So it is random whether it’s yours or someone elses wish that gets granted, and you cannot bargain your wishes by donating a lot of Neopoints. Also there doesn’t seem to be a limit of requests, but that does not necessarily mean your chance of getting something improves if you request hundreds of times a day. Only The Neopets Team knows this though.

What is the easiest way to get a Pirate Paint Brush or any in general?
~ownrofkoonies

Buying one. The easiest way is usually the most costy one. With a lot, and I do mean A LOT, of luck you may get one for free from a random even, or some other activities like the Fruit Machine or even Buried Treasure or Underwater Fishing. But you may as well never get one that way, which is quite likely.

The Pant Devil keeps stealing my valuables from my inventory. My NeoFriend said to keep 5 Pant Devil attractors in my inventory. What are Pant Devil attractors? Can you give me some examples?
~i_luv_cheese_n_neo

I actually answered your question 2 weeks ago, but maybe I wasn’t clear enough as to what Pant Devil Attractors are. That’s the name of the item: “Pant Devil Attractor”, and how it looks like is shown underneath this answer. There are no other different ones, so you need to get multiple ones of this one.

Is there a normal Goople? I only saw Orange Gooples. Is the “Orange” part of the name or are Gooples prizes of plots?
~ihsh

The Orange Goople is the normal Goople, yes. This and the Green Tentacle are the only original Petpets that have their base colour in the name. And although the Orange Goople isn’t a prize from a plot, it is a prize nonetheless, but from the game Test Your Strength.

Do we have to pay for the Neopets, Pasq???
~anonymous

Not for most things on the site. You have the option to pay for Neopets Premium, and then you won’t have any ads on the site and get a few extras, and you can buy NeoCash for extras, mostly customising accesories. But there’s nothing you can’t do without having to pay.

On the index page of Neopets, there is always a notable pet, sometimes it is pretty, sometimes it is just a regular pet with some advent calender clothes. Who decides the notable pets?
~ihsh

The Notable Neopet is randomly decided from all the pets that get entered in the Customisation Spotlight. There’s one other requirement though to become Notable Neopet: your Pet needs to be customised with at least 4 wearables.

Is it okay to have family members have seperate main accounts on the same email?
Will Neopets freeze you thinking that it’s one person cheating on side accounts?
~anonymous

It is okay to have multiple people playing on the same computer, but it’s NOT okay to have them all using the same email. The Neopets Team will assume that multiple accounts using the same email are from one person. There are many easy ways to get a free email account, so I suggest to get one for each family member and use those for their accounts. If you’re a concirned parent who doesn’t want your young child to have an email account yet, then you still can maintain that email address for her/him.

I saw a man [staff member?] go across the screen in ”Hasee Bounce”. I jumped on him and he gave me points. What’s that about?
~anonymous

You saw The Phantom Orange Shirt Guy, or TPOSG as many call him. He’s the programmer that works on many of the games, and often he places himself in the games, sometimes just for fun and other times with extras like in Hasee Bounce.

I’m sure you’ve noticed that the scratchcard Kiosks are all “down for a QUICK fix”. And yet they’ve been down for so long!
Maybe I’m naive, but I’ve never seen something go down for so long during a “quick revision” and I worry that they may not come back up. Or maybe that they will be so altered when they return that the cards we’ve already purchased will no longer be useable.
Have you ever seen such a thing happen on Neopets? And what do you suppose will happen with this situation?
- A Scratchcard Fanatic
~coolshortyajm5

In the editorial of the Neopian Times issue 340, The Neopets Team stated that the Scratchcard Kiosks are down for programming reasons, so this does mean they’re most likely working on a few changes on them. But not necessarily this means the Scratchcards we have now won’t work anymore, but nobody except for The Neopets Team can be sure about that.
And it’s far from the first thing that’s taking some time. Neopets is known to be slow on many things… just think of the pound for instance. It did take them almost a year before they brought it back. I suggest to just be patient and wait, nothing else you can do. I’m pretty sure one day the Scratchcard Kiosks will be back though.

Hi! You look like a experienced player and I really would love to get a Hissi or a lutari. I have been trying to get one but I don’t know how. I have spent lots of my time looking in the adoption center for both. Do you know how I could find one? If you know it would be a lot of help. Thanks! :)
~eat_em_a_lot

Lutari are difficult to get. When someone pounds one, it runs away instead of appearing at the pound, so you cannot adopt them. And in the editorial of the Neopian Times issue 341, TNT also states that they cannot be transferred. The only way to get a Lutari is by having Neopets on your cell phone, or by Secret the Lab Ray and getting lucky your pet gets zapped into one.

As for the Hissi, that’s a limited pet and normally there are several to create on Hissi Day: May 4th (although not the last Hissi Day, for some reason…). If you ask around on the Pound board, you may find someone who’s abandoning a Hissi, ready for you to adopt or to be transferred to you. If you don’t find a Hissi there you can also buy a (Red or Blue) Hissi Morphing Potion or a Hissi Transmogrification Potion, to turn one of your pets into a Hissi, but they cost over 700,000np. The last way is zapping your pet at the Secret Lab Ray, but then you need to be lucky again, or very patient.

15 June 2008

Hi Pasq! I have a question about guild advertising. I looked at the past editorials, and I couldn’t find the answer…is it against the rules to advertise guild members’ beauty contest Pets on the guild homepage?
~egyptfrost

Hello to you too. :) A good question I must say, as TNT never really stated anywhere if this is allowed or not. However, on the Beauty Contest Neoboard they do specifically mention this: “Remember, you can only advertise or start topics regarding YOUR OWN Beauty Contest entry!” I assume that this rule also applies to guilds and that only the owner of the Beauty Contest pet can advertise there as well, and only on the message board in the guild, not on the main page. I’m not 100% certain though, and know many guilds do advertise Beauty Contest entries of their guild members on their main page, as do several fansites.

I recently tried to put a Petpage layout onto my Kacheek’s Petpage. When I hit the ‘preview changes’ button, I was taken to her page, yet there was no ’save changes’ button at the bottom like there should be. A friend of my has also had this problem. Is there any reason the ’save changes’ button isn’t showing up or is this just a glitch that needs fixing?
~katimulyst

Your Petpage layout probably has some coding that covers up the “preview changes” button on the preview page. You’re far from the only one with that problem, and the introduction of the preview page has made making Petpages tougher again. I cannot really help you further as I do not know the page coding you used, I only know that is most likely the problem.

Can I be on this?
~anonymous

Yes you can, but next time preferable with an actual question concerning something about Neopets. ;) And it would be easier to mention you “on this” if you also added your username. :P

I tried to get into my account and couldn’t. I haven’t been on it in awhile so when I came back it asked for my birthday. I swore I put my birthday in but it won’t take it. Is there anyway to find out the birth date that you entered?
~buddybear9592

If you know anyone who has your account as a Neofriend, then you can ask them to tell you how old you are on that account, which is shown on their Neofriends list. This will already give you an idea of the birth year: for instance if you show up as being 22 years old now, your birthday is anywhere from “tomorrow” 1985 to “today” 1986. From here on it’s trial and error though. Everyday you get three chances to try a birthday + password, so do that everyday with 3 different dates. It’s best to do them in an order so you know which dates you already tried. Also ask your Neofriend to keep checking the age everyday, as one day it will go up and then that’s your birthday on that account. If you don’t have anyone Neofriended on that account, then I’m afraid it will be very hard to find the birth date unless you know for sure which birth year you used.

Is it okay that you use your side account to earn Neopoints, but just don’t send the Neopoints around?
~ihsh

No, that’s not allowed. There’s one big rule concerning side accounts: if you earn anything (items or Neopoints) in anyway, it is not allowed to do. One exception is the Healing Springs, but that’s the only exception. However, it is perfectly fine to send over items from your main account to your side accounts. And in some matter you are also allowed to send over Neopoints from your main account to your side accounts (through the Trading Post), but only for storage of it (to have a backup in case of scamming/hacking), or to pay for the Neolodge and the alike.

How can I change my pet Gnorbu, who was morphed into a Baby Gnorbu by an opponent challenging me to the Battledome, back to her normal form?
~hjechick44

I’m afraid your Gnorbu got zapped by Boochi in a random event, and there is no way to just convert her back to her previous colour. If you want her to be that colour again, you will have to paint her. Only your active pet can be a victim of such random events that change the look of your Neopet, so if you have a Neopet of which you don’t mind that it changes look, then I advise to keep that Neopet as your active pet from now on.

How was Neopets 7 years ago? Was some of the shops and stuff better then or now?
~neojedi13

Some things were better 7 years ago, other things are better now. It all also depends on what you prefer and whatnot, so some will miss the early days a lot more than others do.
7 years ago, about everything was a lot cheaper than now. But it was also a lot harder to gain many Neopoints. Yes, there weren’t that many people yet on the site, so it should have been easier to restock. On the other hand the shops didn’t restock that often, there weren’t many differnt items yet, and there were many cheaters, making it harder again, plus restocking wasn’t that well known yet among the Neopets players and most thought games were the best way to gain Neopoints. (Actually, many still do think that these days.)
There weren’t that many games yet though, and it was also harder to win a trophy as the high scores were all-time high scores and not yet reset every month. Then again, since there weren’t that many people, there wasn’t that much of a competition to get a trophy at a game.
The plots were pretty small compared to some now, and didn’t have the flash comics like they have now. The art was also quite a bit different than now, especially several of the pets have changed a few times over time. More about that can be found here. The biggest differences of 7 years ago and now are only from last year yet, when the whole site got a complete makeover at the end of April. Customisation was only a dream yet 7 years ago, and The Neopets Team even said back then it would probably never happen.

8 June 2008

I heard that Tonus are released whenever the giant omelette runs out. Is that true or just a rumor?
~katimulyst

A rumour that’s hard to break. I’ve seen Tonus being available when the omelette wasn’t completely eaten, and no Tonus available when it was eaten. Tonus can be available multiple times a day, usually a group of about 100 Tonus gets released a few times a day, ready to be created. The best way to know if Tonus are available is by checking this page. It says how many Tonus there are available in Neopia and how many actually have been created. However, at the moment there’s a small error there, and it will say there are 89 Tonus more available than that there actually are.

Where do SuAPs came from?
~dragonsdale_bank

SuAps (Super Attack Peas) were occasionally available at the Smugglers Cove. Smugglers Cove items are usually released in a limited quantity and for several days after the release occasionally one will appear there. But you need to have quite a bit of luck to just check the Cove the moment an item appears, as visiting it often (sometimes only 2 times too fast after each other) gets you banned from visiting it for a half hour.

Hi, I was just wondering if you knew if the Meerca Chase avatar was still attainable from Meerca Chase I. A bunch of people on the Neopets boards are saying you can’t, so I was just wondering. Thanks!
~anonymous

It’s not anymore available by playing the first Meerca Chase. When Meerca Chase II was released, the first Meerca Chase ended up at the graveyard, but it was also still playable in the games room for quite a while, and as long you could get the avatar from it. But one day The Neopets Team decided to finally remove the first Meerca Chase from the games room and ever since you can get the avatar only from Meerca Chase II.

How much does a Lutra really cost?
~xoxo54

As I told last week, prices of all items change all the time. Currently the price people ask for a Lutra is a bit above 100,000np. However, if you meant how much they cost in the main shops and you want to restock one, then you will pay less for it. I don’t know the exact price it restocks at, but it will be at least 10,000np. The problem with trying to restock one is that first one has to appear in the shop and then you also need to be fast enough to get it. The effort it takes to restock this Petpet, or anything else for that matter, is what makes the asking prices higher than the restock prices.

The amount of Site Themes are posted on every ones user lookups. I was wondering what they are and how to get them?
~jozzy_d_queen

We actually have a whole page here on nBn that explains everything you need to know about Site Themes: what they are and how to get them. Most of them could only be gotten when participating at a plot, or can only be gotten at a certain day or time of the year.

The Pant Devil and Grundo Leader constantly take my stuff! I finaly blew my cap with these guys. I can’t beat the Pant Devil in the BattleDome because I have 7 less HP than he does. Well, my friend told me to keep 5 Pant Devil Attractors in your inventory, but I have no clue what they are. That’s my question, what are they?
~i_luv_cheese_n_neo

Several people have tested this out; having multiple Pant Devil Attractors in their enventory when the Pant Devil appears. The results are that most of the time the Pant Devil does take the attractor in stead of a different item, but not all the time. It’s speculated the more attractors you have, the more likely the Pant Devil takes one of those, but it’s not a certainty. Only The Neopets Team knows for sure how the Pant Devil Attractors work.
I do suggest to simply keep everything you don’t immediately need in your Safety Deposit Box. Not only can you have unlimited items in there, nothing bad can happen to anything in your Safety Deposit Box.

Where do I get Paint Brushes?
~i_am_hot_92

I suggest reading our FAQ page about Paint Brushes.

Are some games actually Rigged? Because when I play Wheels or the Haunted Woods games, I always receive the same results!
~sonamy_fan

The games in the Deserted Fairground tend to be less fair than other games, yes. For all of them it is possible to win something big from them, but the chance to isn’t that big, and often you will get the same, usually failing, results.
The Wheels are a bit alike, although some will be more fair than the others. The Wheel of Mediocrity has reasonably fair odds, and you have about as much chance to win the biggest prize as you have to win the lowest prize. The Wheel of Excitement and the Wheel of Knowledge also have somewhat fair odds, although you will most often land on the random amount of NP or the questionmark at those two wheels, and only rarely, if ever, land on the best positions. Same goes for the Wheel of Monotony. And the Wheel of Mediocrity… well, most often you will land on something bad there, or you’ll get a haunted plushie. Only occasionally you might land on something better. It is one of the Deserted Fairground games, after all.

I was wanting to know where you could buy Petpetpets and what kinds there are?
~breana_15

Petpetpets can only be gotten through a random event where one of your Petpets find one. It will be in your inventory then. The only other way to get one is to buy/get them from other people. Several can be found on the Shop Wizard, for the more popular ones you will need to check the Trading Post.
Right now there are 35 different Petpetpets, and a list of them can be found right here on nBn.

Before they changed the user lookup layouts and stuff, there was a link to view a pet’s abilities and a list of all abilities. Now I’ve looked everywhere and I can’t find it. Is there a link anywhere to view my pet’s abilities and a list of all Faerie abilities?
~twixzbaby8892

That link used to be on the Quick Reference page (where you go when you click on your pet on the left), and it’s still there since the new layout. For each pet you will now have a dropdown list of links on top, click on it and the 5th link will be called “View Abilities” and will lead you here. From there on you can go to the list of most of the Faerie Abilities available. Although the link says all abilities, The Neopets Team only showed the ones you can get up to level 25. If you really want to know all the abilities, we have a page about them right here.

Where may I find a list of all Petpets, current or retired, by land/world?
Thank You
~fynnmckewl

At nBn we don’t have such a list yet, although you just got the Meowclops out of the bag… we are actually working on getting such a complete list. On Neopets itself you can already find a list of many Petpets, but the rare and retired ones aren’t listed there, nor do they tell from which Neopian land they are. I suggest to keep an eye on our main page. When we’re ready with our Petpets list, we will certainly mention it there. And it shouldn’t take that long anymore. ;)

How come they always have you to find items on the website, why do they just expect you to find the food or other items? Also: the Brain Tree quests… those are just too confusing. I like Neopets, just not the quests.
~akumall

Quests are part of the site, and you don’t have to do them, actually. But they can be benifitical if you do them. Faerie Quests are really interesting to those who want to train stats, and usually the items they ask for aren’t expensive. But since you can’t use the Shop Wizard when you get such a quest, it’s best to ask a friend or anyone at this Neoboard or on our Forum to search the item for you. For quests like Edna’s Tower and the Kitchen Quest you can use the Shop Wizard, and just do them if they’re not that expensive to do. Sometimes you will get less in return than you paid for it, other times you will get something really nice in return.
As for the Brain Tree quests, I suggest to read our FAQ page. Know that this is the most often asked question, so you’re far from alone who doesn’t understand it. ;)

How do you get Morphing Potions?
~tonyfs

Morphing Potions can be restocked in the Magic Shop. Of all things, Morphing Potions are the hardest things to restock because they are all quite rare, quite popular, and many people are trying to restock them. So for most people it is a lot easier to just buy one on the Trading Post.
Transmogrification Potions, the ones that morph your pet into a Mutant pet, cannot be restocked. You can get these from a random event where Dr. Sloth gives you one.

My friend, I recently discovered, is a hacker! And what’s more, she hasn’t been caught! The last time I saw her hack into an account was on MY account…I talked to her and I got her to return everything, to everyone she hacked. Should I still report her, even if she put things back together?
~anonymous

This is a good question, and everyone will think differently as to what to do about this. I understand that you’re loyal to your friendship with her, and that you didn’t want to report her because of that. I wouldn’t call someone who hacked into your account a friend though, even if she did return everything. She might have done this just so you wouldn’t report her, but start over again hacking others. I suggest to report her and let The Neopets Team decide what to do. As they say over and over: people who have broken the rules and got frozen are still free to start over on a new account, as long as they play according the rules this time.

How do the teams in the Altador Cup win? Does TNT just pick one of the team, or do the players make their team win?
~ihsh

Although many have said the Altador Cup is rigged, The Neopets Team has said over and over that they have a points system that determines which team wins. How exactly this points system works is only known to The Neopets Team though, so this doesn’t help at all to convince the people that it isn’t rigged. The only thing we know is that how well we play the games helps determining which team wins, or at least if the Altador Cup isn’t rigged.

How can I get other people to join my guild?
~flazar111

Advertising. You can put up banners in your shop and gallery as well as on your user lookup and on your petpages. But even better is going to the Guilds Neoboards. Tell there what your guild is about, and all the things your guild has to offer, and people who are interested may join then. More about guilds can be found on our FAQ page.

1 June 2008

Back in the day Neopets posted the NP pay ratios on the pages for games. They appear to have since discontinued this practice. Right after I got back on Neopets I was cruising the message boards when I came across a topic reminding users to cash in by playing the games with high np rates because the rates they paid would be changing for the month soon. My question is do the rates actually change from month to month?
~chibi_ohayou

NP Ratios are still displayed for each game: you can find this in the game options box right under where you can select the game size and quality. NP Ratios do change every month now, since April 2007, to balance the game as you can read here. Depending on the high scores everyone got during the last month, the NP Ratio will be adjusted so that still plenty can get the maximum NP out of the game, but not everyone as with some games once was. On the other hand several games hand out more NP now as hardly anyone could get the maximum NP out of the games before.

A while back I had someone hack my account. Luckily my pin number prevented them from stealing my Neopoints and items, and I managed to log in and change my password, so I didn’t lose the account, but they did take all my Petpets, some of which were painted and expensive. I was wondering if there was a reason why there is no pin number option on things like Petpets, or the Neohome, closet, or Neodeck, and if not, can they please be added as options.
~midgi32

I’m afraid I’m not a member of The Neopets Team and I cannot know the exact reasons as to why you cannot add a Pin Number safety to everything that has items. Maybe it is on the long to-do list The Neopets Team has, and this will be added someday. I can only suggest to send this as a suggestion to The Neopets Team using this form. And everyone who thinks alike you, should do so too. The more people suggest this, the more likely they may actually add something like this! ;)

Where do (TCG) items come from, considering they all have odd rarities?
~ultimababybahamut

There are only two ways that new (TCG) items will appear on the site. The main way was by using a TCG Prize Code you got from a TCG booster pack. Sometimes you can get a (TCG) item from it then. Since the TCG Trading Cards aren’t made anymore, there are almost no TCG Prize Codes anymore that can get you a (TCG) item on the site. The only other way a new (TCG) item appears on the site is by a Random Event that gives one to you. The Neopets Team might add more ways later, but only time will tell. The rarities of the (TCG) items (101, 103, 107 and 110) respond to the rarity of the actual Trading Cards (Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Holo) and also determine the chance of getting this specific card from either a Prize Code or the Random Event.

What’s the most expensive petpet?
~novafruitt

Prices of items always change, and while at one moment an item can be the most expensive one, the next moment another item can be more expensive again. With Petpets this is just the same.
Of the Petpets that can still be gotten from the official Neopets shops, the ones at rarity 99 are usually the most expensive. To name a few: Turmac, Krawk, Hasee, Snowickle, Candychan.
Petpets that have been retired are usually worth a lot too. The price of these Petpets depends on how often they were handed out before they got retired, and how popular they are. for instance, the Snorlkin and the Meowclops have been handed out about equally and got retired at the same time, but since the Meowclops is a lot more popular (mainly thanks to the avatar you can get from having one) it is also worth 10 times as much.
Then there are also a few Petpets that have been handed out only in a small amount, or that are really hard to get. These are most likely the most expensive Petpets. The Bartamus is a Petpet you can get from completing the 41st Jhudora Quest. Only a few people have been able to get that far, so there aren’t many of this Petpet around. The Blorbis and the Marafin were prizes from the Curse of Maraqua plot, and not many were able to win one of these. The Blorbis, Marafin and Bartamus are definitely belonging to the most expensive Petpets of all, worth around 50 to 100 million NP each.

If you delete your account, where will the pets go? ( I want to delete lennyeater ) Will they be in the pound?
~ihsh

When you “delete” your account, you actually freeze your own account by using this page. And pets on frozen accounts remain on the frozen accounts. If you want them to go to the pound, you will need to pound them first before removing your account.
Every so often The Neopets Team purges accounts that have been inactive for over two years, and all the pets on those accounts will also disappear. The names those pets had can be used again for new pets then. Frozen accounts however don’t get purged and remain frozen forever, although this too can change one day.

What is Restocking? And how do you do it?
~novafruitt

To many restocking is the main source to gain more Neopoints. On Neopets there are two types of shops: the user shops and the actual main shops of Neopia. Restocking takes place in the main shops, and a complete list of them can be found here.
Unlike user shops, the main shops are filled with more items several times every hour. This is called the restock. When the shop fills with more items, some to all of them will have lower prices than the same items you can find in user shops, and these are the items you have to buy in the main shops and sell again for higher prices in your own shop or on the trading post. This is the actual restocking.
Note that when you want to buy an item in a main shop, you are directed to a haggle page first where you have to fill in how much you want to pay for the item and then have to click on pet somewhat hidden in an image. This is the part where restocking becomes difficult. To be fast you can’t afford to haggle several times, so it is best to pay (close to) the exact amount of NP the shopkeeper is asking for the item to let the shopkeeper immediately accept your offer. If you’re not fast enough, someone else will have bought the item before you, and often it’s a matter of seconds.
These are the basics of restocking. To learn more about restocking it’s best to ask other Restockers on the Neoboards, although many of them may not be wanting to help you, as you would become another concurrent to them. There are four big groups of Restockers on the Neoboards: In Avatar Chat, in Battledome Chat, in Customisation, and in Help. Rumours are that you may find the most help in the latter two. Or you could join our Forum if you haven’t yet, and ask there for more tips. I’m certain there are a few out there willing to help. ;)
